I wish this week would give the kind of things you want instead of the "gifts" it's giving so far.
Saturday I was sitting on our new love seat playing games on Facebook when it comes over the fire scanner for an ambulance needed at my cousin's address for a women who has gotten super glue in her eye. I quickly looked up what to do "thank you Dr. Google" grabbed my crutches and headed over to her house. She lives right next to us. Now the directions said to flush the eye for 10 - 15 mins with warm water. Now my cousin isn't the best housekeeper in the world, her and her son have EDS too, so I can't get her anywhere near a sink. So I had her son wet washcloth with warm water and had her hold it over her eye while we waited for the ambulance. She told me that she reached over and grabbed the bottle on her stand that she thought was her eye drops. After she put some in her eye she realized she had the super glue. Thankfully she has no lasting damage. It was swollen and sore, but is better now.
Monday we went to Rick's appointment with his allergy doctor. He gets allergy shots once a week, next week he will be up to full strength, finally. After his appointment we stopped at the gas station and filled up the Jeep. When Rick got back in the Jeep to leave it won't start. He turned the key and nothing, not even a click. So while he is coasting the Jeep away from the gas pumps so we're not blocking them I try to look up what might be wrong. We are in an area with spotty signal, so I'm doing the bee dance trying to get enough signal for the web page to load while Rick is getting the jack out so he can jack up the Jeep and try beating on the starter. I end up giving up trying to open any more web pages and move over to the driver's seat so I can try to start it. After several minutes of beating on the starter the Jeep started! Yeah. We don't dare turn it off now until we get it home and up on ramps, but we still have to stop at the pharmacy and pick up his meds. I ran in while he sat in the Jeep so we would't have to take a chance on it not starting again. Finally made it home and drove it right into the garage and put it on the ramps. Whew, now we can shut it off.
This morning we get up and I made us cheese omelette, I managed to burn bothe the knuckle on my thumb and a spot half way up my arm. Go me!
Rick went over to my Dad's to borrow money to get a new starter. We were going to borrow $150. My sister wrote out the check and we borrowed Dad's car to go get the new starter. I swear that every rotten driver within 30 miles was on our road today. Nine cars out of ten crossed the yellow line coming towards us. Somehow we managed to not have an accident. Rick was so shook up he forgot to stop at the bank before getting on the expressway. Can't get off the expressway for at least tem miles so we decide to just stop at the bank in the city before going to Auto Zone. Get to the bank and my sister had made a mistake writing out the check. She had written $100 on the line and $150 in the box on the side. So they would only cash it for $100. Thankfully I had my phone money tucked away and we were able to pick up the starter.
I almost forgot...I decided that my three cats needed a bath last night thanks to these awful fleas. Phantom, medium haired tortie was good, she let me wash her and now today she's all lovey dovey. Sky, short haired grey calico showed me she has claws and knows how to use them. And Chubby, medium haired blonde, showed me she has teeth and knows how to use them... Today some of the scratches and bites are infected.
Now I am crawling into bed for the night and the burns I got this morning are starting to blister...Is this week over yet?
