Think I Overdid It

Sep 06, 2015 9:55 AM

Well, we had a huge family, friend and neighbor BBQ yesterday. It started late in the day which is not good for me to begin with. Well, I had taken meds earlier, slept and got showered and ready and went outside. Well, my first mistake was that I never sat down the whole time, I danced, laughed and (shame on me) I drank way too much. I sure am paying for it today!! My feet, ankles, knees and back are on fire and screaming at me and my guts are not very happy from eating stuff I usually don't eat. I have to say, I really had a great time and I stayed up and outside with everyone for the entire BBQ which started at 4 and ended about 11. I'm grateful that I was able to enjoy the party and have some laughs and fun. I'm not really that happy about the consequences though.. Such is life. I have to grab some fun and craziness where I can and then just deal with it later. Thinking of you all and hoping that you all have a blessed and peaceful day with less pain. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»

The things we know hurt us but at the specific point of time when having so much fun especially for many of us whom have lack of social life, we start unleashing our own self before all this pain. Paying for it is a bitch but sometimes it's worth doing it just to keep us sane for that brief time.

It sure IS worth it, Octobot!! We have to take full advantage of every moment that we can to have fun and enjoy family and friends while we can. Take the consequences the next couple to few days and move forward. I'm actually falling asleep right now because I had to take Benadryl for my allergies and being so tired it's knocking me out.. Perhaps I'll sleep through the night with limited interruptions!! (How nice would that be?!?!) I wish everyone well and may you ALL have a peaceful night and very light pain. You'll be in my prayers. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»

Octobot, at 4am you'd BETTER get yourself some sleep!!! I'll send sleepy vibes your way that you can drift off into a peaceful and refreshing sleep. It's going to be in the high 90's here tomorrow and rain so that's adding to my pain as well. {{{{{Hugs}}}}} for you to bring you comfort and support. Rest well and I pray tomorrow brings you a better day.

I felt better and I think your somehow your crazy sleeping vibes worked. As I turned off my iPad after replying you I went to sleep. Woke up at about 9ish...felt sluggish but after a shower, felt the norm again. :) crazy how some things can really be called a miracle πŸ˜€

I'm glad you enjoyed the BBQ AlwayZ! Sometimes we just have to do what we know is going to hurt. I hope you and Octobot slept peacefully. My calves are cramping tonight and I'm not sure why, since we rested all day today from having the grandkids Saturday-Sunday. Voltaren gel time. Sweet dreams to all tonight! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Had a great time!! The one mistake I made, Flappsy (aside from drinking too much😳) was that I never sat down once for the entire 8 hours!! I don't know why. And.. By the end of the party, I thought my legs were going to give out from under me and my back was on fire. I'm still dealing with the consequences! I did have fun though. Lots of laughs and doing shots with my 80 year old Mom who never drinks except for our BBQ!! The grandkids love it and they all do shots with her too! Like I said, gotta take the fun where you can and while you can even if you know you're gonna pay for it. I'm sorry you're dealing with cramping legs. Have you had enough to drink? Sometimes if I get slightly dehydrated then my muscles will spasm. You're always in my thoughts and prayers, my friend. I hope you had a decent night's sleep. πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»

I drink over 105 ounces of just water daily. My GI doc told me to make sure I got at least 100oz a day, due to the sjogrens. I swear I think it's depleting every oz I drink as it hits my stomach. πŸ™πŸŒΌ
