This back pain is in another level

Jul 03, 2016 4:35 PM

I'm not sure what to do with this back pain. It's as if the pain in my back is at a bone level. And it spreads out to my legs and shoulders. And then the shocks to the hips. It wipes me out. I had a family bbq yesterday which was great but the pain I'm paying with now is mind blowing. I had very limited choice as far as seating. Either a very low soft couch or straight back folding chairs or a wood bench. I picked the straight back chair adding to that all the standing and sitting from all the hugging and well I think I've painted the picture. But I'm just not sure how else to help my back pain besides heat pads and just staying off my feet. Any ideas

Hot bath. Usually helps me. Gentle stretches when you' re out and dressed...

Thank you Terri. First we all miss u and glad your trying to come.back to us. Secondly, ive been extremely busy mostly with therapy and the last few weekends have had a lot of family stuff. And I think I'm under more stress then I will admit to myself..
Painisnotmystory I wish I could get into a tub. I may be getting a spa tub in a few weeks as a gift from my uncles.

The spa tub with 7 Cups of Epsom salt, my favorite friend! I disappear for at least two hours! Hope that gift comes your way!

Yes, I would agree some rest would be good. Try reading a good book or watch something interesting to you. Anything to try to get your mind off the pain. Sometimes that's all I can do is totally try to concentrate on something else to mask it.

It does sound like all the activity has flared up your spine pain. Rest & relax, and if you have any muscle relaxers take some; your muscles are probably tensed from the standing & such. I wish I had one of those walk in tubs. Hugs & prayers you'll feel better soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I've gotten the pain assessed by the physical therapist and it seems that some of the work I've been doing at the gym could be the cause. I've been restricted from certain machines at the gym and therapist have added a second therapy session to my current session days. I'm a but concerned of having so many sessions in a day but they are the professionals and this group is really good at listening to the patient. So if is seems to not be working or is to much they will adjust. So I'm hopeful the bac pain will get better.
