Pain from my surgery sucks a lot. The nerve block is gone and it hit like no other. I hope this pain begins to die off slowly. My fingers feel like they are twisting around but I know they are not is that normal ?

Nikki I hate to here you are in so much pain. Did they give you some strong pain meds to take? Will be praying for you.

I'm sorry nikkib! Have you tried using ice to numb the area?

Mar 07, 2015 2:59 AM

I'm so sorry Nikkib... Surgical pain is absolutely horrendous. It does get a bit worse before it gets better, but it WILL get better. See if the doctor can give you something for the pain.my prayers are with you and I'm sending you healing wishes and gentle hugs.

Not sure what type of surgery you had but I personally han surgery on my left shoulder in 2012. Make sure to keep ice on and rotate off with heat. I learned this after my first therapy visit. Unfortunately I kept ice on about all the time to numb the pain. The rotation of heat and cold help blood flow up and down through surgery areas and aides in faster healing. Best of luck!

Had* oh yeah I think rotating about 10 to15 minutes with each will do the trick.

@Buggin, just saw your other post. Do the electric shocks have a connection to your shoulder? Check out "thoracic shoulder syndrome."

@ nikkib, I hope you're feeling better today. Praying so!

I've been told I have non epileptic seizures due to migraines. I didn't know the few migraines Ive had in my lifetime could cause lesions in my brain and in return cause seizures. Im in neruo limbo at the moment. I had bones spurs removed out of left shoulder. Waiting as long as I can to have surgery on the right. Best of luck and thanks for replying back. Many blessings to you and your recovery.

Nikki hope your hand is doing better tonight. Buggin I did not know that migraines could cause someone have seizures. I know that they can cause someone to have a stroke. In 2000 my sister had a stroke caused by a migraine. She recovered sometimes she has trouble remembering. Will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you so much. I thought for sure I had a mini stroke on November the 20th., but they ruled it out and released me with a recommendation to take 81mg of asprin a day. I can't remember much about that week but I do remember my entire left side was weak, I had difficulty speaking and walking with my head turned to the right and shaking. Said they saw leisons but no hemorrhaging and I was probably just stressed. My strength came back but voice did not. After a week then it started ti get better but next thing you know Im having these seizures everday that affects my voice just like before in November in the beginning. Thanks for this information. You really have helped me.
