So went into work as usual. Then after a few bits i was writing and i lost all sensation in my right hand/arm. I had a weird tingeling over my head that went down both arms. I couldnt move at all. Que work calling for an ambulance. Once at the hospital orthopeadics came. They said it wasnt anything to do with the buldging discs in my neck....the doc said obs were all clear and now that i have the feeling back in my hands and arm i can go. BUT IF I SHOULD LOOSE SENSATION IN MY HANDS AGAIN to go back. Back in may when they discharged me The last thing the othapeadics team i am under said to me was (about my neck) monitor your pain and IF I LOOSE SENSATION IN MY HANDS i should call an ambulance....bit contradicting dont you think! Orthpeadicis team that were on duty at the A&E today didnt even do anything. Just asked me the same old random stuff but adameant it wasnt my neck. When he qent out the room the doc came in and said "my thinking is its a trapped nerve rest up but if i loose sensation i should go back. Wtf lol im so confused. This is my actual life. I was panicking (which probably didnt help) anyway, so because in my head they made out that this would be the worst case scenario what will i do if it does happen again? Leave it because it will only be a trapped nerve. So confused. Am seeing my gp tomorrow and ill be seeing my surgeon in september. Miffed.

Butyoudontlooksick, although my arms haven't gone completely numb it has been pretty close multiple times. My symptoms of neuropathy in my hands and arms have worsened from having to use the walker, bearing so much weight on my arms. But even with improvement the neuropathy lingers even at night in bed, doing nothing. I saw my Ortho neurosurgeon last week and he's ordered a CT because he suspects a trapped nerve. It's been my experience at all ERs that they don't do enough necessary studies to know what is going on. Keep notes on your symptoms of when they happen, what you are doing at the time, and how long they last, and share with your regular Ortho team. Hugs love & prayers you will get answers and help sooner than later! 🙂❤🙏🌼
