Thyroid Gland Gone

Oct 14, 2018 10:18 PM

10/5 I had my thyroid gland removed and let me just say it’s side effects are super painful. At one point I was straining my brain to send signals to my left leg and foot to move but nothing happened. I feared they’d give me something dopey and I wake up with my leg amputated below the knee. I spent 8 days in the hospital and the food was horrible. I felt no one was listening to me or they couldn’t be honest enough to say they don’t know. Let’s just say I’m glad the whole gland is gone because the mental and physical anguish is not worth it.

I have an abnormal shaped thyroid that doesn't properly function, so I've been on T3 & T4 meds for several years. The meds make the symptoms from a bad thyroid bearable. Hugs love & prayers you continue to recover. 🙂❤🙏🌼
