Jul 14, 2017 7:57 PM

Hi I have never posted on here before so not sure how it works!

Has anyone had the tilt table test for POTS and how did you find it I have m.e and fibro so I'm a bit worried about standing for that long.

Littlelola, I have had a tilt table test before... The test last only until you pass out, I ended up taking up almost the full half hour. 29 mins into it I passed out. It's a very boring test and I felt funny having all these doctor's and nurses in the room basically staring at you for however long it takes you to pass out. They watch your heart rate and blood pressure. Not scary just boring.

Sjogrenspain77, Thanks I haven't fainted before I just very nearly do so I'm worried about fainting for the first time, Did you find your legs were hurting for standing for that long?

Jul 17, 2017 7:31 AM

No, my legs didn't hurt, but of course I was 12 year's younger then lol. During the test they will spray nitroglycerin under your toung to help speed the process along they do it 10 min's in and they do it for 3 time's 10 min's apart from each other.

Oh right I think I will stuggle because of my M.E/CFS to stand for that long, did you end up getting diagnosed with anything?

Jul 17, 2017 8:01 AM

Yes, Nuerocardiogenic syncope.... I still have some problems some day's and that's when I lay down until it passes.
