Tired and in agony - dreading the day

Aug 01, 2017 12:05 AM

I'm currently on 3 days on less than 4 hours sleep, in agony,
Finally seeing bone and muscle specialist at 8.30am today, im in that much pain I can barely move my leg, I'm so tired I don't have the energy.
I have a work meeting today at 2 which I have to attend. I don't know how to cope with the day, any ideas of how to get through it?
Note: can't sleep due to the pain, suffering a migraine due to lack of sleep

I'm so sorry to hear your in so much pain I'm in a big flair too so I know how your feeling. Good luck with the appointment I hope it goes really well and they have some way of helping you to be more comfortable. I don't really have many ideas of how to cope with the meeting, Make sure you eat and drink properly and take the pain killers just before the meeting. Good luck I will be thinking of you today 😊🤞🏻

My heart goes out to you Abiii🤗
I know this will be really hard to do because it is for me when pain flares but a long time ago I was sent to a Neurophysiologist, its a pain physiologist. He thought me how to sort of meditation. I apologize don't remembered technical name. Try to close your eyes, relax your breathing, now focus on the pain -what color is it? Focus on that but don't forget to breath, take your time. Now slowly start moving it down, inch by inch. It my take you a few times to get the hang of this but it can take the edge off. Slowly you will move the pain out of your body. Mine was out through my toes. I know its not pure relief and I am very sorry for that.
Good luck tonight and with the doctor tomorrow.

I'll have to give this a go, do you visualise the pain or just see it as a colour? Would you give it a shape sorta thing?? And thanks

You will probably visualize the pain first and that is fine. You and I know its a pretty big thing to not to see. When you can, when you are relaxing you will see its color and even it's shape. Just let it happen Relax Breath and no pressure. Don't rush it.

Ah okay I'll definitely give it a go and see if it works for me, nice relaxed, and remember to breathe. Thanks Rosee

If you have someone who Could massage your leg that might help a little. I know that helps a lot for myself. I'd also suggest Melatonin dissolvable tablets. I take 10 mg twenty minutes before bed and I'm able to sleep a full night at least once a week.
