I'm so tired of being tired. My fatigue is great. Yet my insomnia keeps me awake the long lonely night while my legs burn and my hand throbs. My gut thinks it is an amusement park ride. My eyes are heavy but won't close.

Oh dear, I deal with the opposite Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
But on the nights where the pain is to great I take a Melatonin after the pain med.
Hot milk also relaxed me enough to warrent me sleep after the pain med.
I hope you find something that works with your body to relax you enough do you can(!) sleep. πŸ˜“

That really sucks, Hoping you find something that will help you as all of us on here are looking for other things to try too! We're all very different but similar in ways obviously. Aliya, best wishes, stay strong πŸ’ͺ were all fighters.

Aliya, you are not alone. I have the same problem. Absolutely exhausted, yet unable to sleep due to the horrible symptoms you are suffering. I go through this every night. When I do sleep, it is only for an hour or two at a time. Then I am awake tossing and turning for a bit till i drift off for another hour or so. I hope you can find some relief and get some sleep soon! 😴

Thank you everyone. I had a restless night but here's to a sunny day today! Clinging to the slivers of hope is our best bet.

Aliya, i know what that feels like. It is hard when you think the entire world is in peaceful slumber and you are laying there (or in my case in a recliner), wide awake with your eyes at half mast, pain everywhere and wondering why and wishing you could just close your eyes and drift off. It isn't easy. I don't work any more so I allow myself to sleep whenever my body allows because I never know if I'm going to be sitting awake until 5:00am and then waking again at 6:30 or 7:00am. It becomes overwhelming at times. I will keep you in my prayers. Believe me, I think there are more folks out there than not that are saying they are tired of being sick and tired.

I wish I could sleep when I could catch the sleep. Some days I get a nap but only if my three kids coordinate. And I work part time in a bakery.

All I know what you are going thru about not being able to slept at night. For the last 3 nights I have fallen asleep at 9 pm slept for 30 min woke up until 11 pm, fall back to sleep wake up at midnight stay awake until 1 am then back to sleep until either 5:30 or 6 am. It's crazy. I am going to drink some sleepy time tea hot with honey and see if the will work. Not to night though my daughter is going in to be induced today at 5 pm, so I don't know when I will get any sleep in the next 48 hrs or not. Hoping for a fast easy delivery when she gets started. Any way have you tried using a hot pack made with rice I think that's what has been helping me fall to sleep, I have 2 I use one on my neck and the other against my back. I microwave them for 3 min and they stay warm for a while. Here's hoping for a good night.

For a while I had a bed time routine that helped some. Hot bath followed by 30-60 minutes yoga then 45-60 minutes laying on my accupressure mat while diffusing relaxing oils then taking meletonin before fallIng asleep.

I've started taking Valerian Root on bad pain nights. It's a regular OTC sleep-aid but not to be taken more than 8wks. It seems to be helping me to sleep better when I alternate Melatonin with when I need the Valerian Root. ☺️

Aliya, I have always had insomnia. It's usually caused by stress and anxiety, but I also think my circadian rhythm is just programmed for a different time zone πŸ˜‹. I've taken Lorazepam for the anxiety, and Trazadone to sleep. I like he Trazadone, actually. It works well and I can wake up whenever I want. My hubby takes Benedryl to sleep usually.

I am also usually tired during the day, and some bloodwork just done said my B-12 was low. B-12 fights fatigue.

I was sleeping fairly well until the past four to six weeks. I'm having to take tramadol at bedtime now but hoping the plaquenil will help. I drink a small glass of milk every night, as much for sleep as for acid reflux; milk or vanilla yogurt. When my hands, feet, back or called hurt I also get anxiety. I started rubbing voltaren gel in my lumbar & calves every night, and my get & hands if needed. My fatigue seems to be less today because I was able to dry my hair immediately after my shower, unlike the past 1-2 weeks. I hope it doesn't come back anytime soon! Wishing and praying sleep improvement with decreased pain for all!
