TMI question.. But i need advice

May 28, 2017 11:06 AM

Mosy of you all know I've been trying to lose weight for a while. And especially after my surgery in Nov. Everything I'm trying is not very effective anf it's a constant struggle. Recent I've started adding flax seed to my daily regimen. It's helped with bloat anf regularity. But the last two days I've been struggling with what seems like IBS- d anf IBS- c extreme pain in my lower abdomen back and legs. Has anyone had any experience with this?
The pain is shocking and stabbing. Makes it very hard almost impossible to walk.

I'd recommend a doctor visit to make sure you're not having appendix or gall bladder problems. Both of those can exhibit the way you describe. Otherwise, if you use too much flax it can cause gas and diarrhea, so maybe cut back for a couple of days to see if that helps. Good luck and I'm sorry you're so miserable.

Cut down on flax. Are you eating them whole or ground up? Ground up is better for digestion and heath benefits

I was eating them whole. Or mixing them in my smoothies.

It's best to grind them first. Body can't digest or process flax whole. You can use a morter if you have one or put fax seeds in smoothie blender and grind up fine before you put rest of ingredients in. :-)
