Torn rotator cuff and nerve damage

Nov 20, 2017 6:00 PM

I've had a undiagnosed torn rotator cuff for 8 months now. It was diagnosed last week along with extensive nerve damage in my shoulder, arm and hand. I've lost 25% of my neck movement on my left side too ( side of tear ) . I've begun physio and finally after months of agony as drs thought it was vitamin D deficiency and didn't treat me , have some pain killers but I'm finding physio hard to do and intensely painful. Has anyone else had this?

Yes I have. Ended up having rotator repaired twice. Unfortunately the nerve pain never ended for me. My surgeries were 2008 and 2009. I also had torn off all of my ligaments and tendons. If you do have surgery I strongly suggest doing your rehabilitation in a heated pool it is much less painful. Good luck
