Trigger points

Jan 24, 2015 1:02 PM

Do all sufferers of fibro have the tender points? I have two areas that I get none deep pains in, one being above my ankles on the inside of my legs and the other on the underside of my arms up high ... The reason I ask is I don't think these are areas of tender points for fibro and I get the pain without being touched there. I don't think this is fibro related but I also don't know what else it could be?

You have to have ( I think) 12 of the points to be diagnosed with fibro? The ones you describe are not the locations. Have you been diagnosed and you feel like that's not right? I know that there are what the call "trigger points" all over your body that produce pain. Also lymph nodes.

No never diagnosed and I feel like it could be something else... Maybe arterial because the places are right on arteries (I think) ... I have had ultrasounds of the arteries in my neck and the main one in my body.

They changed the criteria for fibro diagnosis. I don't have the tender points unless I'm in a bad flare but since I meet the other criteria that's my diagnosis.
