Doesn't it just gets you angry that doctors do not want to help, but they sure do help themselves to your money and insurance. It is like modern day snake oil salesmen. Don't feel too bad, I get the same treatment. I also get asked a lot, do I work. I just want to yell, it takes two incomes to make it. I cannot afford not to work.
Backpainman, hope you get the help you deserve. Feel better...gentle hugs to you.

BackpainMan, i'm sorry that you're going through so much trouble with your doctors. And I'm sorry that you weren't going through so much pain. It must be a terrible situation you're going through. What do your doctors think that you're trying to accomplish? Do they think that you are wanting out of work? Do they think you're wanting pain medication? Because if that is the case, maybe you should reassure them that you are not trying to get out of work. Also that you were not meeting are looking for just narcotics. But that you were looking for a way to get your pain under control and other things that are affecting you. They probably think that you are just a drug seeker. Most doctors Think that when someone comes to them with pain. That is just a possibility. I am not saying that is what your doctors think. Just some doctors are that way. Again I'm really sorry that you have to go through the problems you are with your doctors. No one deserves that. I would be angry for the foolishness. My best wishes to you that you find the help you need and that you get a Doctor Who will listen and have empathy.

He profiler and Tense, my doctor want me off pain medicine, they know i am in pain but they think its better for me to take strong psychiatric medicine, but i react bad to that kind of medicine and it make me dead and sick and not myself, its awful to be attacked and forced to crawl around on the floor in pain and puke every time they decide to try new medicines, there is no way out of this, i dont know what worse to know that doctos any moment can force me to be unable to take care of myself or the thought i never can start a life because i know doctos can fuck up my mind any timeso i cant do anything cant have a ordinary family life, its like torture to have my life in othes hand . Many doctors push fear like crazy, they smile because they dont understand and just play the quilt game against people

Mostly muscle relaxers, she justed prescribed Metaxalone, it doesn't suppose to make you sleepy, but it does me. I try not to take a lot of pain meds. I am on Cymbalta for depression/anxiety.

Backpainman, I know how you feel! I have a strong suggestion that will most likely get you some relief... Ask your doctor for the Bustrans patch. It is a very effective, narcotic antagonist. It is very effective in long-term pain management.. It delivers the medication primarily known as suboxone without the narcan in it. I say this for the main reason it will at least reveal to your primary doctor that your main concern is for pain management and not euphoria management ..understand? All doctors are concerned about is the DEA and their reputations .. Not an ideal or even ethical medical treatment for a person who is in chronic pain. If this does not interest you, I would make an appointment with her , sit down and tell her.. You need a consult with a pain management office or a neurologist visit. Their are many things you can do, I know you are hurting and frustrated. There is a Doctor out there somewhere to help you. Perserve and find one.We pay them, we are not irrational drug seekers but people with chronic pain. I hope you find someway of communicating your needs to your doctor. I am sorry you are hurting. Love and Blessings, TERRI

Backpainman, I'm so sorry you are hurting and without a supportive and understanding doctor. Search for a doctor who will work with you without labeling you a rug seekers. If one doc doesn't work out look for another. Ask coworkers, friends & family for suggested doctors.

I'm 54 with OA in multiple joints & spine, facet stenosis, and disc years, bulges, and degeneration, along with many other chronic pain issues. I'm allergic to most major pain meds. I have a prescription for voltaren gel that I rub into the joints and spine, & neck. I use heat, warm showers, and ice when necessary, to help control various pain. I also have gabapentin for fibromyalgia that helps with neuropathies. I do slow gentle stretches to help keep my spine from locking up on me with stiffness. And a few years ago I went through epidural steroid injections all down the spine to block nerve pain signals. Although some people don't have good results with ESI's, I'm over 2 years since my last one and the sciatica and headaches have only between occurring, randomly, since October. Prior to the ESI's they were ever present, daily. If you can set a pain specialist this might be helpful to you for the pain. Hugs & prayers you will find the right doctor who will help you get some relief! 🙂💕🙏🌼
