Unexplained bruising

Nov 03, 2018 6:16 PM

Hi guys,

The last few months I've been experiencing unexplained bruising to my legs. Initially I put it down to my nsaid and low vitamin D levels.

However this morning me and my husband noticed severe bruising to my thighs and calf's. Big bruises all over like I've been kicked or beaten! It's literally that bad!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

A friend of mine had unexplained bruising and found out he had to have his spleen out. I would see a doc.

I suffer from unexplained bruises. Have you spoken to your GP? Ask them to look for a condition called ITP. I had this 30 years ago, it’s to do with you red blood count being a lot higher than the white. I hope this helps πŸ€—

Thanks Laura, I'm going to call tomorrow and make an appointment. It didn't bother me too much at first but I've never seen anything like this before!

Thanks for the advice xx

Kew, I have been having unexplained bruises for over 2 years. One of my doctors finally reduced my Voltaren gel ointment to see if it helped, but it didn't. According to the doc it has similar properties as aspirin. All my labs are normal so I don't worry about it anymore. My dog can jump into my lap and everywhere his paws land I end up with a bruise. But get checked out so you know you don't have an underlying issue. Hugs love & prayers! πŸ™‚β€πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Thanks FlappysLady81, I put it down to my naproxen but this is ridiculous! The bruises are still as bad as they were last week. I've booked to see my Dr, my husband says it's because I have the body of a peach that I bruise easily 🀣

Please take care, I'm thinking of you xx
