Unexplained Pain

Nov 10, 2014 3:49 AM

I had my gallbladder removed in August 2010, since then my health has deteriorated. It started with pains deep behind both my eyes. I had pain deep in my head. I went several specialists who couldn't find nothing wrong, gradually the pain seemed to move and spread to different parts of my body. 18 months had 3 clots in my leg and a DVT , I also have raynaulds. At present my knee and shoulder joints are painful, I find it hard to walk up and downstairs. All my joints from my neck to toes click, I feel that I have to click them to ease the pressure. Doctor sent me to the physio and she was just amazed and really couldn't do anything for me.

The joints feel as if they are getting weaker, like it's breaking down. I haven't felt a day without pain since my gallbladder removal.

I am on 900gm of gabapentin a day with Zapain as my pain relief. Really starting to wear me down. Was on amptripline but it didn't agree with me.

sorry to hear about the pain being so bad for you. I would say if you are suffering so badly that you should ask your doctor about either upping your dosages or try some other medications. 900mg a day of Gabapentin is a very low dose. I am currently on 1200mg 3 times a day, so you can certainly take more if you are in pain.

Thank you, I am seeing him on Friday Zapain 500g tablets which just makes me like a zombie, can't feel the pain, but then can't feel nothing. Seeing haematologist on Thursday for more tests, am sure it's all connected. Was reasonable fit until 4 years ago.
