So everything looking good with post op healing. Still have an open spot and one area still more raw then the others due to the extra manipulation needed to remove the tumors and uterus. It's estimated that the tumor weighted around 20lbs and the uterus was three times the normal size. But all in all recovery is on schedule and restrictions still in place . The trip to and from was epic 6 hour round trip plus office visit that went two hours due the Dr being stuck in surgery. I'm so glad to be home.
That's great you're healing is looking good. I hope the area that is still open and the part that's more raw heal up in line with the rest of the insicions.
The restrictions are going to be in place for a while, I would think for at least 6 weeks if not more, and you better keep to them otherwise you could do more damage and/or cause your recovery to take longer than necessary, so you'd better do as your doctor says....don't make me come over to kick your butt for not doing as you're told no matter how good you feel or what the excuse is!
Wow that's a heavy lump and with the uterus being that size it's no wonder you was in soo much pain. Not only would it cause you to feel top heavy and off balance it'd also squash all your organs together as well. It's going to take your body time to a just and heal after this surgery and to wait and see if there's any lasting damage that's been caused by the tumour....I'm praying for you that you have no lasting symptoms and that the insicions heal quickly for you.
I can't begin to imagine how that trip must of felt, 6 hours in the car then the 2 hour wait to see the surgeon but after being told that your healing is good must of been a weight off your mind tho, did she say what was causing the pain you had the other day? Or was it just that your body is trying to reajust after having the surgery?
I'm sending you warm gentle hugz and I'm standing beside you so you can lean on me when you need some extra strength xx
Sezzy, I certainly don't want to have come and best me up..so I will behave..lol...she said that I'd have certain sensation and twinges for months. And as far as the other stuff it has to come back slowly. She did examine the area and everything was technically normal. She figures that the pain is from aggravation and all the manipulation done during surgery. So I'm just gonna have to give my body time to relearn it's new normal.
It's going to be a frustrating time while your body heals from all the surgery, that was a big tumour to take out and I think I remember you saying she had to manipulate some parts more than others to get it all out. I can also imagine that the surgery is also going to leave some internal bruising as well which will add to the pain while healing so be gentle with yourself and don't let anyone try to bully you or guilt you into doing things you know is too much for your body that way I won't have to come and kick your butt!! Lol
