Viral connection

anyone taking anti-viral meds? do they work or is it just a rumor?

there has been some research done with anti virals for fibro, results are due to be released in November, from what's been said so far it looks promising! the only anti virals I have ever taken was when my hubbie died of swine flu a few years back but I was reasonably asymptomatic then and not diagnosed

I took them for ebstein bar but haven't heard much luck. I'm not sure how it would help with fibro because it is not a virus. I'm no Dr. though

I've read that an active virus could bring on the pain because once you've had any form of herpies, the virus is dormant, but takes up residence in your ganglia, thereby possibly causing nerve damage and increasing fibro pain. I'd like to ask my Rheumy about it, but I don't want her to think I'm listening to rumor, or quack theories. Am I? (sorry for the vague entry this morning, but I did not sleep last night. Now I'm awake and feel bad for being so vague. In hindsight, maybe that is quackery. Anyone know of any reputable studies in process?

talked to Rheumy today. Virus connection is bogus and not accepted nor supported by research. Still looking for a solution that will make my life better.
