Weather change - rant

Oct 05, 2016 6:25 PM

So my chest and rib cage hurts. I can't take a full breath. My hips and knees are burning. My shoulder aches and my head hurts. My stomach is hating me and my sensitivities have increased as the day went on. My back is so locked up that neither my physiotherapy nor my 90 minute massage could get it to release.... and the anti-inflammatories the naturopath gave me really do help a lot with the pain.
Nothing is working, must be a front coming in. Check the weather, sure enough they are saying rain Friday and a rain snow mix for both Saturday and Sunday. We'll see what actually happens in terms of the type of precipitation but it's coming.
Too bad it's the boyfriend's mom's birthday today and we have to go visit instead of hibernating. Hopefully his dad is using the vape pen and not cigarettes but last i talked to him he wanted to throw the vape pen out (he said it was making him smoke more) so I'm guessing it's gonna be rank in the house and no one is going to want to hang out outside when it's at freezing.

I'm in the same boat gotobef. Although I didn't think of the hurricane being the cause. I just figured it was stress. Which I suppose it could still be or a mix of both.
I hate it when my chest and ribs hurt feels like an elephant is sitting on me. Hope your able to find some time rest and get some relief.

Im sorry to hear your having a painful day i really hope it gets better for you. As for the vape pen you should tell him if he persists that feeling goes away after two to three days. I quit with a pen vape. Do you have any other meds that can help?

Called it!

Darn I think it's gonna sick around. Going to have to get up earlier tomorrow so that i can clean off my car before going to work

Oct 07, 2016 8:42 PM

Isn't it amazing how we can tell what the weather is going to be better than anything the weather man has to work with?!? 🙄😉😜

Oct 07, 2016 8:51 PM

They said 30% chance of precipitation today. Haha! I said on Wednesday that it was going to hit Friday / Saturday.
I do hate when I'm right though

And the boyfriend went to teach the karate class so i stole his spot in the garage. The trailer is in mine. He can park outside tonight. He doesn't have to be anywhere tomorrow morning

Honestly, I'm grateful that I can actually have the weather as an excuse, instead of saying, "I don't know why I'm in pain, could be the perfect day outside, 😁. I have noticed that everything that I wear has to be practically silk, otherwise I'm in more pain and with the weather combination all I can say is ouch. I hope ya'll feel better soon and thank-you for reading my little rant. Oh and I'm grateful that I can at least have a good sense of humor about this, gotta laugh, tired of crying. Have a better day.

If i can't figure out why i hurt i always blame the weather. ☺
I find if nothing is helping then it is the weather. And i just have to ride it out the best i can.
I hope it settles down soon and we can all start feeling better

Right there with you gotobef.

It's still snowing. It was super icy on the roads this morning. Not looking forward to cleaning off my car to go home or driving to thanksgiving dinner tonight. I guess waiting until Monday to change my tires was a little to late. Oh well. At least the white is pretty

I woke up freezing this morning 😖 I thought the air was on but the temperature has dropped 😔 I'm not ready for cold weather 😣

Oct 08, 2016 12:04 PM

That is a georgous picture. I love and miss snow. I'm hoping that my body just adapts to the weather so that I can go anywhere and just plan for a few days of adjustment. Where do you live?

Oct 08, 2016 12:30 PM

Picture is awesome... I'm not ready for the bitter cold myself.... brrrrrrr😠

I love Canada, it truly is a beautiful place.

I hope you're feeling some better today Gotobef. The picture of snow is pretty to look at, but ugh! I hate that kind of cold. GA made it through the hurricane fairly good. They aren't letting evacuees go home yet though. I'm just really tired today, and a little achy.

Hi I'm new here & just read your post. Having used anti-inflammatoires for 30+ years, I can tell you that they are not pain killers. They reduce the inflammation allowing your blood to better access to the area to naturally start to heal your body. You may already have this information & I'm certainly not a doctor but I worked for a drug store chain for 20 of those years & have consulted many pharmacist & specialist. I do hope this info is helpful & that you are feeling better soon. Cheers! Pain is corrosive. Do your best to smile. Sending hugs & positive thoughts your way!

Anti-inflammatories are not pain killers but inflammation causes pain, and that pain is magnified in fibro sufferers.
If i wasnt taking them (and they are herbal) i wouldn't be walking. I think i have some form of arthritis in my hips and knees but since my ra factor came back normal and I'm 29 i couldn't possibly have any form of arthritis so I'm making it up (i hate doctors)

I am sorry but I seem to be experiencing problems with this app again. I got it yesterday & have been having issues ever since. Hopefully things will start working here soon

Hope you're feeling better @gotobef. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ahhh snow ... So not ready! Lots of rain and damp in Ottawa (always a damp city) hoping it melts for you.
Curious which supplements for antiinflammatories you are taking. I eat alot of food that helps but haven't found a supplement that has helped. Thanks

She put me on something called zyflamend. I take 2 a day. One with breakfast and one with supper.
I also take magnesium malate. I found that helped a lot with after activity soreness and pain. I recover faster and easier.
I notice if i forget to take them for a few days.
