It's an experience but not as bad as I'm sure you have experienced. Hope you have some enjoyable music for your headphones! Are you in the airline industry?

Oregon and Eddie, I hope these nuclear tests that you are both taking show something so that the doctors are able to help you get better and get relief from your pain. Please be careful in your travels, bring some good music with you to keep your anxiety away and like I said, I will have my fingers crossed and will be praying for you both the get the results that you need.

Scan and X-rays only show some osteoarthritis and not at the injury site. Looking more like inter spinous ligament laxity. I'll see what the doc says on the 11th

May 01, 2015 11:01 AM

What does the laxity mean, is it weakness in the muscles supporting the spine? I have the osteoarthritis all over my spine, so I know that pain. Hoping you get needed resolution for your spine! Blessings & prayers! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Flappsy, Laxity is when the ligaments and tendons are loose and don't hold as tight as they should. Instead of being pulled tightly between their connector sites, there is some slack. It can cause all kinds of problems that you really don't want to have to deal with. My left shoulder is being held in place just by tendons, muscle and cartilege, but that is certainly NOT the optimal way to hold a major joint in place. Eventually I will have to have the shoulder replaced (perhaps both) and I am also facing double knee replacement. The only problem being my size because I need to lose more weight in order for that to happen. I have to say that even after losing 90 plus pounds, I am afraid that it will not work or that it will be harder to heal and may or may not even work at all. At any rate, sorry I got off topic and got on a bit of a rant, I hope I was able to answer your question. I also hope that you have a fantastic day with less pain and more gardening and smiles, etc,... You're in my prayers as always.

Alwayz, I'm sad you are feeling laxity in your shoulders. Mine is at L1 & L2 from the facet joints caused by a sprain and it is agonizing. What we think it that it got so stretched and won't go back. It causes my big back muscles up my back to be turned on all the time in order to support the spine. It causes severe spasms and nerve pain. Glad the bone scan didn't find much but I don't have much for options for this. Nothing is showing on any imaging either so it's going to be a battle with workers comp. this has been going on since January 2014.

AlwayZ, thank you. It makes sense now, and I really hate you're going through that. I understand your being scared. But we're just going to stay positive and believe it will work out, you will heal quickly, and it will hold ... when you have it done. Prayers & hugs to you too! πŸ™πŸŒΌ

OregonHS, I'm sorry you're dealing with it too. Gosh it really sounds painful! I guess I don't have that, although I have spasms, because its never been mentioned. You ladies are both in my prayers, and hugs! πŸ™πŸŒΌ
