Aug 24, 2016 3:40 AM

Here another example of my crazy!

Aug 24, 2016 3:46 AM

I'm absolutely in love with this!! You have quite amazing talent as an artist... That's a beauty!! I think the only crafty thing I create is designs for tattoos.. Here's one I did for a family friend and she actually had it tattooed on her... What an honor for me. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š

Aug 24, 2016 9:04 AM

Ok, so I was going through my things and once upon a time, when I was really into making things... I got an idea from something I saw in the store and said I would NOT pay the price they wanted because I could go to the craft store and buy the stuff and make it myself. Well, here it is... The one and ONLY parafin oil candle I've EVER made!!! Nice, right??? ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

Aug 24, 2016 10:33 AM

I fell in love with needle work after a 3rd grade art project. I still had it so my hubby had it framed to hang in our beach-themed bedroom. It's my "Charlie the Tuna." We had to draw something and then stitch it however we liked.

Aug 24, 2016 10:35 AM

I went from that to cross stitching & sewing.

Aug 24, 2016 10:36 AM

My granddaughter's played with my old aprons (Grandma's) until they fell apart, all but the one I made more recently by her pattern.

Aug 24, 2016 10:40 AM

Instead of letting them tear it up I made both a full sized apron they can play in now, but one day use in their own homes... No pattern, just did from memory. Here's a pic of one. They love them! It nearly killed my neck, hands and back so it's my last craft. Bending over the material, pinning, cutting, & sewing...eyyy....yiiii... yiiii! Not to mention the cramps in my arms hands & fingers.

When my dad married my current stepmom I baked their 6 layer wedding cake. It hurt me so bad to do it, and that was 18 years ago, before if ever even thought or heard of most of my diagnoses, let alone fibromyalgia!! I called it my Alpha-Omega wedding cake; first & last. Thankfully my daughter's both picked up this craft skill. And they're much better than I was. I don't have a photo of it or I'd show it. Sadly, all these hand-crafts do not go well with my OA, DDD, & CTS, so I can no longer do any of them. ๐Ÿ˜”

Aug 24, 2016 11:01 AM

I draw! I have a tablet and usually end up using my computer because there's less setup and cleanup involved. This was when I drew my joint pain as flowers.

Aug 24, 2016 11:03 AM

That's really cool Schwa! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒธ

Aug 24, 2016 2:22 PM

Aug 24, 2016 3:31 PM

I crosstitch mostly. I used to color but holding a pen has been difficult these past 2/3 months. I plan on making my centerpieces for my wedding to save on money and overall make it a bit more personal.

Aug 24, 2016 5:10 PM

LittleMilkflower, hello & welcome if you just found the app! I am impressed you want to arrange your wedding centerpieces. I am a floral designer& when I worked in a very busy shop I was the only designer who liked that particular job. So, most all of those orders I got. I love them! Especially when people let you loose with a color palette. I hope you love them, too.

Aug 24, 2016 5:13 PM

Thank you Lulabel. Very kind of you. :)

Maria, my grandmother taught me, then a stepmom. I can't do any crafts any more due to the pain.

Lulabel,. Love the trinket box... Awesome!!!

Aug 24, 2016 7:53 PM

I posted before seeing everyone's stuff. Omg, I love them all!! I love peppermint and eucalyptus scents. But burning candles stuff my sinuses up every time, regardless of the scent. My sister use to fits because I was too crafty growing up, but she was a tomboy back then. I got the crafter's, and she blows me out of the water cooking! Now she crochets.

Aug 24, 2016 8:28 PM

Thank you so much Always. I definitely have Lavender it's a fairly popular scent.โ˜บ

Aug 24, 2016 8:31 PM

Flappy I love Eucalyptus and spearmint together. Is it the scents or burning that affects you because there's melts for warmers if it's the burning.

Very Teensy example from my phone. Interior design. This is a white on neutrals room with pops of color. Asian wall decor over tree and bird removable art in a company rental where no changes are allowed.

Aug 26, 2016 3:53 AM

Trying to relearn piano with one of my grand's. However, this was just a moment's noodling by the one who's studying violin.

Aug 26, 2016 4:01 AM

From an airplane over mountains of northern WA state.

Aug 26, 2016 4:05 AM

Aug 28, 2016 7:21 PM

Wow you guys are so inspiring. I leave my projects half done all the time because it makes me so sore and uncomfortable sittin in one position so long, then going across the room to get something I need is even more painful.๐Ÿ˜ก Do you guys experience this also?

Aug 28, 2016 7:23 PM

Last thing I made was this tux for a pup. (My hands are useless and screaming today) ๐Ÿ˜ญ it was worth it ... it WAS worth it

Aug 28, 2016 7:26 PM

Ah Gem I'm with you on never finishing anything. It's been before the pain though I just don't have the attention span to finish anything that takes more than 2 sittings to complete,

Aug 28, 2016 7:40 PM

@fancypants the struggle is real. I've been a lot more productive since I started to draw my projects in a daily craft journal. I used to have a cluttered art journal but it was chaotic. Now I write the day n list what I started that day and what I'd like to start tomorrow. I have to copy the same things during the week but the design starts to really take shape over a few days. You know what I mean? ๐Ÿ“–โœ๐Ÿต

Aug 28, 2016 7:44 PM

I art journal, too. As well as saving inspirations, it becomes a way to cope with pain and depression.๐Ÿ™‚

Aug 28, 2016 8:13 PM

I do lego. Does that count as crafty?

Aug 28, 2016 8:25 PM

Yes it does Gotobef! I can't do them due to the tiny size. GemStoneStrong, that's adorable!

Great work everyone โš˜โš˜โš˜

Aug 29, 2016 3:23 AM

Gem that top is adorable nice work! Anna those paintings are lovely... You said paint by numbers?

Aug 29, 2016 11:20 PM

Thanks yes they are paint by numbers! They take hours and I know they aren't real paintings bit I am still proud of them!

Aug 29, 2016 11:29 PM

Anna, they ARE real paintings!!!! You had to follow the pattern with the colors to make them come out properly. You are the one who put the paint to the canvas. Don't downgrade the lovely work you did, it's awesome!!
GemStoneStrong, that's a great top!! How cool that you made that from a dress. Awesome job!!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜

Aug 29, 2016 11:37 PM

Thanks that means a lot to me but I know being an artist is a gift and a talent that people have worked hard for.i just don't want to take that away from them! But thanks again I love doing them and I like how they turned out!

Aug 29, 2016 11:44 PM

Love your paintings! I like lighthouse paintings & photos.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

Aug 30, 2016 3:12 AM

Sep 06, 2016 9:53 PM

My biggest passions are sewing and photography. I also dabble with yarn things (knitting and crochet) but I'm so slow and my hands cramp up so I rarely finish anything made of yarn.
I also do wire wrapping, watercolor painting, hand embroidery, etc.

Sep 06, 2016 10:24 PM

Nanablue64, what clever repurpose your bed desk is! Thinking outside the errr...box. I love it

Sep 12, 2016 10:17 PM

Love the pics especially the last one of the beautiful large snowy trees. Where did you take these?

Sep 12, 2016 10:34 PM

I live near a mountain and these were taken at the mountain overlook and and a couple of those are driving into the mountain overlook.

Sep 15, 2016 11:33 PM

I make hobby horses. I don't use a pattern and I try to use recycled materials from other things I've made or old clothing, rags, sheets, blankets. Everyone says I should sell them but I can't commit to it. I'll do great one day then I'm unable to start back up for 2 to 3 days.

Sep 16, 2016 6:34 AM

I love it mzladybug! Absolutely beautiful! Your very talented. I tried making a dress one in home economics and all I got from the teacher was...."What's that supposed to be!?!?" Bahaha haha. ....but I have to say at least I tried!๐Ÿ˜…

Way to go,awesome Job and keep doing what makes you happy.

Sep 16, 2016 7:28 AM

Mzladybug, that's absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! Being a lover and owner of horses, I say Bravo!! It's fantastic ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š

Sep 16, 2016 3:38 PM

Thanks @Sjogrenspain77 & Alwayzinpain. Sjogrenspain77 I didn't do the best in home economics because I march to the beat of my own sewing machine. I hate patterns, I love doing something free where you just figure it out as you go! I am working on a dragon. Wow Alwayzinpain I'd love to see pictures of your horse. They're such beautiful animals. I have 7 cats. They're my lifesavers!

Sep 16, 2016 9:55 PM

I know what you mean about not following a pattern. I don't like reading instructions either. Always want to do it my way. Gets me into trouble occasionally, especially with the man. Lol Love what you do with the horses! ๐Ÿ˜

Sep 20, 2016 1:01 AM

Thanks Silvrry! Cheers๐Ÿน๐Ÿน to dancing to our own beat!

Her other little girl is a girly girl but every now and then her tom boy side comes out!

Sep 20, 2016 3:42 PM

@ Mzladybug, the camo and green ones are my favorite. Have you tried doing dragon heads for little boys?

@ Sjogrenspain77, I love the icecicles on the trees!

Sep 20, 2016 8:00 PM

When I used to be able to draw-now I just make collages and remake the old ones over and over!

Sep 21, 2016 12:14 AM

Thank you Flappys, I have been working on my close up pictures. Winter is my favorite time to take photos, they just come out so much better.

Sep 21, 2016 7:31 AM

I sew. This is my daughter in a recent ice skating dress I made her.

Sep 21, 2016 7:51 AM

Meredith, I use to sew; even sewed 2 lined wool coats with matching hats when my girls were young. But stretchy material was something I never mastered. You've got awesome skill! Love the outfit ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒธ

Sep 21, 2016 7:53 AM

Thank you! Spandex and knits use to intimidate me but I caught the custom fabric bug and almost exclusively use stretch fabric now lol. I made this while stuck sitting in a chair all weekend after a hospital visit two weeks ago.

Sep 21, 2016 12:04 PM

@FlappysLady81 I am working on a dragon now. He's almost done. I'll taken pictures soon. I actually even put a tail on the stick for the dragon. Thanks for the compliment.

Sep 21, 2016 12:06 PM

@Meredith beautiful work

Sep 21, 2016 10:40 PM

Great work ladies! I just started a craft night with my girlfriends and so far we have painted and made terrariums. Up next is cross stitching!

Sep 21, 2016 10:58 PM

I make jewlery and I crochet. Don't do much lately. With my hands, and wrists being so painful most of the time. But I still try to wirk on something.

Sep 21, 2016 11:29 PM

I started quilting about 5 years ago. This is the first quilt I made. It was for my daughter.

Sep 21, 2016 11:45 PM

I sculpt with polymer clay but can't figure out how to post pics

Sep 22, 2016 1:37 AM

Darkwind.. In the comment section where you type your response there's that paperclip. Click on it. If you don't see the picture you want to post click on those 3 lines at the top left corner of your screen. (your left as you face the screen) a menu will drop down. For me my pictures are posted in my gallery so I clicked on that to bring up the picture I posted.

Sep 22, 2016 3:28 AM

Mimikay It's beautiful!!!

Sep 22, 2016 3:32 AM

Thank you. For the backing I found material that was a picture of the NY skyline. My daughter's grandparents and uncles, aunts, cousins live there so she visits from time to time. I divided the material into 4 panels then got material that looked like wood. So when finished it looked like 4 Windows looking over the skyine. :) it was fun to make.

Sep 22, 2016 3:34 AM

Sunshine364 I feel ya! We do our crafting when we can. I think if I had to stop crafting that would be the end of it for me. It keeps me from going insane.

Sep 22, 2016 2:57 PM

I used to draw a lot.. I've designed most of my tattoos on my own and drew them up and brought them to be tattooed on. A dear friend of my family got one on her ankle that I drew for her.. Now that's an honor!!

Sep 22, 2016 5:49 PM

@ Mimikay, gorgeous quilt!

@ Sunshine364, love the bags! I can't see the jewelry though, bad vision! Lol

Sep 23, 2016 12:51 AM

I challenged myself to make a wreath but only w/ recycled or dollar store items. Cost me $5 I had pine cones, paint for white on cones, I had the snowflakes. My findings at the $1 tree was 2 rolls of red ribbon mesh, the bird and green pine 1 roll. I was proud!

Sep 23, 2016 12:54 AM

Beautiful wreath... love tattoos too and have designed some of my own too xx

Sep 23, 2016 1:02 AM

Thanks MyscticMum! I'd love to see your tattoo designs sometime!

Sep 25, 2016 8:44 AM

@LULABEL THATS OUTSTANDING QUITE AWESOME AND UNIQUE DO YOU SELL THESE???

Sep 25, 2016 8:54 AM

I do art, I'm addicted to my adult coloring stuff... It started out simple colored pencils but then as I'd keep going looking for new stuff I upped my game got metallic pencils, then glitter ones then my Trees dad got me professional pencils, I then graduated myself up on accident things never been same!!! I accidently picked up LIQUID PAINT PENS not realizing they we're paints and not so easy figure out n use lol took me a couple weeks to get it down but now I can't stop... I did for 7 months I at first got so ill my hands shook so using paint pens was impossible I was sad a lot.. But last month I started up again I try to do it as often as possible... If any one knows KEVIN SMITH MOVIES IMCWHAT BRODY WOULD SAY IS A TRACER, lol but I'm ok with that I literally bring life to the picture then reline whole thing in black paint.. I'm super gooood at abstract art and COLOR, I CANNOT DRAW TO SAVE MY SOUL LOL.. But I love what I do I do pics for people all time I love seeing them smile.. This ones done now I'm going thru old pics don't have any new right now.. This is all done in orizma color colored pencils..

Sep 25, 2016 8:55 AM

This is all prisms color pencils as well

Sep 25, 2016 8:56 AM

This is all SHARPIE LIQUID PAINT PENS...

Sep 25, 2016 8:57 AM

This is mix mostly prisms color pencils and some liquid paint I did this for one of my besties for her X'mas gift last year..

Sep 25, 2016 8:58 AM

Ohhh.. I love the owl. My son collects owl paintings. :) yours is one of the prettier ones I have seen.

Sep 25, 2016 8:59 AM

This is a new one I did for my cousin and her baby she's going thru ruff time and needs to know OHANA <3

Sep 25, 2016 9:00 AM

This is piece I'm doing for a friend this is three weeks worth of work obviously still working on it but gives u better idea what I do how.. It's a challenge that's FIR sure this and last one all LIQUID PAINT PENS

Sep 25, 2016 9:01 AM

Last one for now this is for my nephew and his baby gurl my lil raven bird.. This still has to be relined with black paint... Then she's done lol oh and background <3

Sep 25, 2016 9:03 AM

@mimikay thank u it's poster sized so took forever but I can't help myself lol.. I still have 4 poster size ones to work on lol.. I cannot stop buying when I get a few bucks to spend I'm in MICHAELS CRAFT STORE LIKE A KID N A CANDY SHOP lmao

Sep 25, 2016 9:05 AM

Am going to have to check out those liquid paint pens. Love the colors you use.

Ok. Got to go now. :) have an awesome day.

Sep 25, 2016 9:10 AM

You to lady.. Yup there little pricey but worth it if u have problem with them u email sharoie they send u replacements there tricky takes some getting use to but there awesome can't go back to pencil lol it's hard go back down lol.. Hugs have good day

Sep 25, 2016 9:16 AM

Does the paint bleed through the paper?

Sep 25, 2016 9:19 AM

It can so I usually put four pieces plain paper or scrap paper under what I'm doing.. I use them to also prime the pens and make sure there going properly before putting them to pic... If u don't use it right it can vmruin a pic quick they can blot ink this has happen a couple times sharpie had to replace the pens for me.. So ywa some thing under..., when I do my poster ones there little more thick but I do them on a table I do not mind if ink gets on it... :)

Sep 25, 2016 10:08 AM

MizzMonroe, what beautiful work you do. Amazing!! No matter that you can't draw, your painting is gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing it.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

Sep 25, 2016 3:39 PM

Thank u very much @gibber32 I appreciate that

Sep 26, 2016 3:38 PM

This is my latest crafty thing.

Sep 26, 2016 4:18 PM

ScaryAnn... I love those. Are they hard to make? When I was a kid my grandmother taught us how to make wreath ornaments from pipe cleaners. When my children were younger we made clay ornaments. My lovely ex broke them all (sigh). But great memories of my time with my kids.

Sep 26, 2016 5:05 PM

Mimikay, they are surprising easy. The stars are the ones I find the hardest to do. The stars are the only one I even made a pattern for.

Sep 26, 2016 5:19 PM

And these are my finger splints to help with hyper-mobility. They are harder to make.

Sep 26, 2016 5:20 PM

The other side

Sep 26, 2016 5:23 PM

This is what my fingers do without the splints.

Sep 26, 2016 5:38 PM

Yikes. Do you make jewelry too?

So the splint helps with that?

Sep 26, 2016 5:50 PM

Mimikay, I just started working with the wire last month. I haven't thought about much other than the finger splints and tree decorations for stocking stuffers. I'm sure jewelry wouldn't be much of a stretch. :)

Yes, the splints help a lot! I have to get more wire though so I can make some for the DIP joints as well. They help with the ache as well.

Sep 26, 2016 5:56 PM

Am.glad you have found relief. My sister does jewelry. I often think I would like to try.. But I have 4 quilts that need to be made before I immerse myself in something else. Need to find me a good light to put upstairs so I can see better though.

Sep 26, 2016 7:11 PM

Pyrography on wooden box. This is the top.

Sep 26, 2016 7:12 PM

Sides

Sep 26, 2016 7:48 PM

LMB - that's beautiful! How do you do that?

Sep 26, 2016 8:34 PM

Soldering iron and just start burning. I usually have an idea but just wing it. If I don't like something just burn over it.They are just plain wooden boxes until I get my hands on them, lol.

Sep 26, 2016 11:37 PM

Well you turn those plain boxes into amazing works of art. :)

Sep 27, 2016 7:22 AM

Those are beautiful LMB! I can't wait until I can get back up to the mountains and get fall pictures!

Sep 27, 2016 11:23 AM

I crochet. I am working on crocheting Christmas gifts. I just joined. I don't know how to get pics on here.

Sep 27, 2016 10:08 PM

Animal lover.
In the comment box see that paper clip. Of you click on it it will bring down a menu for you to click on to find and choose your picture you want to share. Hope that makes sense. :) would love to see some of your projects.

Sep 27, 2016 10:51 PM

LMB, how utterly gorgeous is your work!!โค๏ธ

Sep 27, 2016 11:08 PM

@ScaryAnn cute ornaments! LMB your boxes are amazing! So pretty!

Sep 28, 2016 5:29 AM

Used to work with clay. Before my body broke and all the energy I have is now getting to work and home and getting to the next day.

Sep 28, 2016 6:45 AM

Mich - that's beautiful.

Sep 28, 2016 6:51 AM

Hi I'm new to this app, I enjoy card making to help relax

Sep 28, 2016 7:08 AM

Thanks, I really miss that part of me!

Sep 28, 2016 10:23 AM

I don't have a paperclip. The area is blank.

Sep 28, 2016 10:35 AM

Strange. When I write a comment one side of my box has the paperclip, the other side has the word post.

Sep 28, 2016 10:39 AM

Animal Lover - are you using the Catch My Pain app? (is that what it's called). I think you need to use it's other site called paincompanion.

Sep 28, 2016 10:47 AM

I have been learning to crochet. I am making these in primary colors for Christmas presents.

Sep 28, 2016 10:50 AM

I tried to learn crochet years ago. My mind couldn't grasp it. :) I did cross stitch for years then moved to quilting. Still can't figure out crochet though. :) you are doing a great job with it. They will make wonderful gifts.

Sep 28, 2016 11:56 AM

Photography is another hobby of mine. This is from my trip to Yellowstone.

Sep 28, 2016 1:13 PM

My hubby love monarchs (something that makes him connect w/ his deceased Mom he misses her) I love to take photos of the beautiful paradise back yard he's created for us. The monarchs are a hobby we share!

Sep 28, 2016 1:19 PM

Sep 28, 2016 7:28 PM

Wow Mimi Kay! Great Eye for an Incredible place!!

Sep 28, 2016 7:32 PM

Superb mzladybug! It is about looking at the details and all of that which makes our world varied and complete!

Sep 30, 2016 12:56 PM

Mzladybug, those are Absolutely Beautiful! I mainly take winter pictures because they come out so much better for me. I still try to take fall pictures when the colors are in full bloom.

Sep 30, 2016 8:38 PM

Very true Mich60! Sjogrenspain77 thank you. I love looking at both fall & winter. I'm in southern AZ so we pretty much have summer and spring all year. I grew up w/ 4 seasons and miss fall the most. We had a lake I loved to walk with all the beautiful colors changing. With my high school sweetheart! Good memories. God is a beautiful artist isn't he!?

Sep 30, 2016 8:47 PM

The humming birds are migrating south. They're so beautiful!!

Oct 02, 2016 7:59 AM

Love the LEGO Death Star

Oct 05, 2016 8:01 AM

Newest addition to my Christmas decorations. My brother's name looked like the easiest one to start with. All finished it's not much bigger than a quarter.

Oct 05, 2016 8:50 AM

My newest quilt I am working on for my son. The design is called bear paw. Figured since he lives up by Yellowstone it would fit..

Oct 05, 2016 8:51 AM

Lulabel - I love your flying machines!

Oct 05, 2016 9:24 AM

ThanQ sweetie... ur quilt is amazeballs! โš˜

Oct 05, 2016 3:54 PM

I crochet and knit. Want to learn to paint. My eyes are picky about how much I use them. I can't draw anymore without my eyes going wonky and seeing spots with blurred vision till I rest them. Been wearing bifocals for five years just got a new pair.

Oct 05, 2016 3:59 PM

Wow even more awesomeness love all of it xx

Oct 05, 2016 4:13 PM

Chibi - I have wanted to go to one of those paint parties. But am afraid I would be hopeless. Lol. I can almost draw a stick figure.

Oct 05, 2016 8:31 PM

Such a talented bunch we are!!! I love seeing all of these awesome pics!!

Oct 05, 2016 9:12 PM

You can do it, Mimikay!! They appear to be structured lessons guided by the host. Fairly uncomplicated designs. Of course, when you add wine to the mix anything can happen. I'll bet you would have fun & get a buzz on! Lol

Oct 05, 2016 11:07 PM

I have done the paint parties (I don't drink) Mimikay. The lessons are super easy. All me & my friends pictures turned out a little different but it was so much fun!

Oct 06, 2016 1:55 AM

I don't drink either..it doesn't go well with my meds. Lol. Although when I meet up with my best friend in Texas wine coolers can often be found. My yearly indulgence. Lol

Oct 06, 2016 1:58 AM

Silvrrry.. I may get a party together. I moved back to Arkansas 6 years ago to care for my mom. I really haven't made any close friends but somehow I have become the organizer of events for church outtings so.. Maybe I can organize a paint party for the church group.

Oct 06, 2016 4:41 AM

Mimi Kay! Gorgeous Quilt! I've never seen Bear pan pattern! Love it!! ๐Ÿ’–

Oct 08, 2016 8:41 AM

Thank you Mich. I am still a beginner quilter. This will be my 4th quilt. I never thought I could do this, after all my Home Ec teacher passed me simply because she didn't want to go thought that experience of trying to teach me to sew again. LOL. The dress I tried to make was one hot mess!

Oct 08, 2016 12:49 PM

Like we've postEd above. We march to the beat of our own patterns!!! Your quilts are beautiful!

Oct 09, 2016 1:02 AM

I quilt too! When I feel well enough! Here's one I just finished for my mom! It's far from perfect but she loves it! :) I also like to garden. When I'm in pain I resort to coloring haha. Love adult coloring books! ;)

Oct 09, 2016 8:24 AM

AnnaKT. That's beautiful! I love the colors..

Oct 09, 2016 3:35 PM

I attatched names today and use old Christmas cards to make the gift boxes. When I can, I use a card the same person gave me.

Oct 09, 2016 3:36 PM

Here's another one.

Oct 09, 2016 3:38 PM

And last one for today

I love making paper flowers ๐Ÿ˜€ and I paint! This is my last one

Oct 10, 2016 3:31 PM

WOW Foxes, you're talented! This is a lovely painting. I draw. I want to get a set of drawing pencils, pastels and charcoals. I've not drawn in a long time but I think it may be a good distraction for me and also give me time to spend downstairs with my family. Keep it up!! I look forward to seeing more of your paintings

Oct 10, 2016 6:28 PM

I'm a new here. Before my body betrayed me with never ending back pain, I was passionate about stained glass. I really miss doing it. ๐Ÿ˜•

Oct 11, 2016 5:35 AM

Thanks Alwayzinpain! I would love to see some drawings of yours as wellโ˜บ even if it has been a while, if you have the drawing gene in your fingers the rust will come right off๐Ÿ˜‰

Oct 11, 2016 9:14 AM

Foxes... I'm going to get out my art supplies and my sketch pads!! I think it's time to start drawing again. Thanks for the push.. I needed it.. LOL!!๐Ÿค—

Oct 11, 2016 1:46 PM

@mimikay my Tree an I did a paint party, his sister n her hubby gave us this as a gift last X'mas, at that time I was still working but injured so I was trying wait to use it til I got better then I list my job n got so sick all I wanted was to use our paint date... Couple months ago I said screw waiting we started looking at the diff dates for JK's bday they did the GOLDEN SNITCH I hadddd to go... Mind u I also cannot draw to save my soul I can bring life into anything via color but stick people is it here and abstract art so I was super nervous but honestly the instructor was fabulous, and we started out lightly sketching what our end goal was from there it's alllllll paint baby... And doing this actually reallllly made me wanna start painting it was so relaxing so fun wine helped lol but even with out it would have still been a blast, and in the end on my wall I have my awesome SNITCH TO DISLAY CUZ I DID THAT!!!!!

Oct 11, 2016 8:36 PM

Chibi, I am spoiled lol as I live on a lake. This is another part of the lake a half mile away from me. Tomorrow I will have to take a shot of the lake from my back porch if I can.

Oct 11, 2016 9:12 PM

So beautiful where you walk!

Oct 11, 2016 9:17 PM

Oct 14, 2016 7:02 AM

๐ŸˆWhoo! We won!๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿˆ

Oct 14, 2016 8:18 AM

MaLady - my daughter loves dragons. She has two Dragon tattoos and pictures everywhere. :) once I went to a Renaisance fair and bought one of those flexible dragons. Took it with my friend and I everywhere taking its picture in different places. So at Christmas my daughter got the Dragon and it's photo album.

Love your Dragon. The detail (and colors) are beautiful - from the head to the tail..

Oct 14, 2016 8:19 AM

Sjogrens - yea! For the winning team but Brrrrr for you.

Oct 14, 2016 1:53 PM

I mean I guess its a bit... Different.. Aha... But I make items for adult babies and I also make items for lolitas and decoras and such. Its fun. I like seeing people happy with something they wanted :)

Oct 14, 2016 6:31 PM

That's cute!

Oct 14, 2016 6:35 PM

Another of my quilts for my daughter's best friends little girl. :)

Oct 14, 2016 9:55 PM

I bet he will make a wonderful addition to his new home. :)

Oct 15, 2016 11:51 AM

Kitten - I have a friend who is a cancer survivor. To celebrate she went to clown school. Her and her friendly clowns do a lot with parades, fund raisers, children's hospitals etc. I wonder if you ever make paci's and such that could be geared towards clowns?

Oct 15, 2016 11:52 AM

Mzlady - do you make many of these? Am betting I know a clown or two who might be interested. Do you have a website?

Oct 17, 2016 8:04 PM

Finally finished this today! Black cat on a bright star night!

Oct 19, 2016 8:26 AM

Wow o like your work, I'm blind and recently lost use of both hands, I love crafts just trying to find new ways to do everything, I like making succulent gardens i, I also embellish T shirts,

Oct 19, 2016 9:56 AM

One thing I would love to do is make one of those gardens in a pot that has the fairy house and landscaping.

Oct 19, 2016 4:42 PM

@mimikay there fairly simple u just need the pot ur using them broken pieces of pot or pots, marbles shiny things pieces of things that could look like fairy treasure u make walls n sections decorate them with the Nick nacks ... I think those r fun as well.... Still in slump mode my spirits pulling me towards art but rest of us is MEH...

Oct 19, 2016 5:57 PM

I think Big Lots here in the US sells kits for those. I really think I might give it a try.

Can sure understand being in a slump. I really have to get Justin's quilt done but lately tackling the stairs just seems overwhelming - and that's where I need to go to see.

Oct 19, 2016 7:32 PM

Sounds like fun.. perhaps I'll get one for myself as well!! ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿค—

Oct 20, 2016 7:19 AM

Let's have a FAIRY HOUSE PARTY WOOOOOOOT <3

Oct 20, 2016 12:18 PM

Decorate them, make a page and sell them.. could be really specal, right!

Oct 20, 2016 1:12 PM

Oct 20, 2016 1:35 PM

Oct 20, 2016 1:52 PM

I wonder if things like this are reason my doctor said I have to go for a psych evaluation?? LMAO!!!! โคด๏ธโคด๏ธ Just look at the answers I leave!!!

Oct 20, 2016 1:56 PM

OH Wait... I'm really stoned on anesthesia... I was thinking about when I went to Florida to see my Cousin. I was there for 6 weeks and it was WAY too long.. LOL!! Anyway, at the airport, some old, snobby lady came up to me and asked me where gate 26 was.... Well, I looked at her and said to her it's right next to gate 25 and kept walking... LMAO!! My cousin and I laughed so hard we BOTH wet out pants and that rude lady was on MY flight.. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ณ

Oct 20, 2016 2:00 PM

Baaaaahaaaaaa omg that's hilarious <3

Oct 20, 2016 2:52 PM

Lol. But I love your answers. :) your doctor just doesn't understand fun. ;)

Oct 20, 2016 4:54 PM

Alwayzinpain, Mimikay and MizzMonroe my friend made a fairy house out of a big potted tree for her grandkids she sent them invites to joinin the fairy party. She made a whole fairy community. It was so cute!

Oct 20, 2016 4:58 PM

Have y'all seen this DIY on Pinterest?

Oct 20, 2016 5:13 PM

Mzlady - I bet that was a fun adventure for the grandkids. Love the candle - I have seen that before. :)

Oct 20, 2016 5:14 PM

Alwayz - you were right, I did indeed survive. :) don't have to go back for 6 weeks.

Oct 20, 2016 6:15 PM

See Mimikay, just take my word.. I knew you had that under control!!
Mzlady, I'd LOVE to see that fairy community. Do you have photos to post? ๐Ÿ˜œ

Oct 21, 2016 4:45 AM

Mimikay u keep me laughing... Hugz ur face lol...

Oct 22, 2016 3:05 AM

Love the variety and creativity here. I have recently learned to knit and crochet. I can lay on my side and putter away on projects for furballs. I'm going to open an Etsy store ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oct 22, 2016 3:07 AM

Cute for a 1st attempt imho ๐Ÿ˜

Oct 23, 2016 10:14 PM

Sometimes Sensory Overload can be overwhelming. Yesterday and today I locked myself up in the sew room.. Lol. Am making a quilt for my son. I had several blocks that I had seen wrong (hate when I do that!) so had to undo them (thank goodness for seam rippers...) This picture is of the 9 larger blocks I have finished. Still need to see the border you see in between each block. Then I need to add a wider border around the whole thing. It will be in the dark brown color. (fingers crossed I have enough of it. ) Need to go to the fabric store and buy enough material to make two more borders around it. The final border I am going to make 4 more of the blocks with the bear fabric to go on each corner and am thinking of making 4 more of the white and brown X blocks to go in the middle of the borders. (so one at top, one on each side and one on the bottom but all 4 centered...) Hope that made sense. Do you think that would look ok?

Oct 23, 2016 10:15 PM

Brighton - those are adorable. Bet they would make great Christmas gifts if you get your Etsy up and running in time.

Oct 24, 2016 7:40 AM

@Mimikay lovely lady so talented <3

Oct 24, 2016 8:15 AM

Thank you Animal Lover and MizzMonroe - it's hard to see but the quilt is called Bear Paw. The first and last block on the top row are the bear paws and the larger square in the corner of each block actually has pictures of bears.

Oct 24, 2016 12:50 PM

Whoa, at the talent in our community! Since I can no longer do crafts, I create in my mind now, and the hubby provides the muscle. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‰ We made a gate to keep the dogs out of the kitchen while cooking: my design, his muscles..lol. This is gate # 1

Oct 24, 2016 12:52 PM

We had another short gate at the laundry room but Gunner (big grandpup) jumped it when his mom came home from work Friday. So I had to rethink the design and we recreated a much trailer gate at the laundry room. This allows anyone to come in the house from the carport without the big dog jumping over the gate. Gate 2 from laundry room view.

Oct 24, 2016 12:53 PM

Gate 2 from kitchen view. Even if Gunner stands up he will NOT jump this one!

Oct 24, 2016 1:02 PM

Good job. I laugh at myself as I glanced at the first one and thought he had added a silhouette to it. Oops. Nope - That's a real dog. :)

Oct 24, 2016 1:35 PM

I love to crochet different blankets and get creative with the designs. Some days my hands just can't handle it though and I try to sew. Although my hands sometimes can't even handle that. I wish I had space to do more crafts too but were housing my grandmother in laws stuff since she is in a nursing home so we're kind of short of space.

Oct 24, 2016 1:56 PM

MizzMonroe do you use the app colorfy? I use it when I have an appointment or have to sit around a lot people. I suffer from social phobia. It's a cool app.

@mzladybug no never heard of it... Realllly cute pic

Oct 28, 2016 9:25 AM

Love :) the picture.

Oct 28, 2016 9:58 AM

Question on the colorfy app. does it work offline or do you need to be Internet connected? If it works offline is it the full access or just the free portion?

Oct 28, 2016 11:21 AM

My crafty...I have a lot, so there will be several posts from me in the next hour or two as I share some of the things I've done and am working on. So glad to see so many people find ways to keep busy and nurture their creative sides despite the pain. Some people would never understand that even some of the smaller projects that may appear simple can sometimes take weeks to finish

Oct 28, 2016 11:59 AM

The back

Oct 28, 2016 12:01 PM

Kinda jealous of all you artsy people. i have no ability to think outside the box. lines must be straight, things must be symmetrical, instructions must be followed, colours must match real life. Therefore I get frustrated quickly and quit. Or just build those lego sets that are designed for one thing and come with instructions.

Oct 28, 2016 12:01 PM

I also get crafty with my hair.
There are probably a lot more pictures I could put up, but I think I've inundated the board enough.

Oct 28, 2016 12:38 PM

Shibe - you do beautiful work. :)

Oct 28, 2016 12:48 PM

Shine, your costumes are awesome, especially the Hawkstrider!

Oct 29, 2016 7:19 PM

It's really excellent work. I have been trying to figure out a drawing for me to get a tattoo. But not sure how to get all that I want on one design. Lol.

The artwork on yours is simply beautiful. It's notoverlybdramatic not is it lacking in design. :)

Oct 30, 2016 1:52 AM

Mimikay, with the exception of this gorgeous piece, I have drawn all my tattoos. I design them, draw what's in my mind and then work with the tattoo artist to have him put his artistic spin on it and then POOF... Tattoo!!! I have another in the works as we speak and then 2 more after that. I have others that I want to get as well but they're tiny and I can get them as I get the bigger ones because my guy will do those for free. (When I went for this piece, I was saying I wanted my tongue pierced and he said, I'll do it for you right now.. No Charge!!!) I also had a "K" on my finger that was faded badly so he re-did it for me when he finished the big one. (He did that for free as well). Think next time I will take him up on the tongue piercing!!!!๐Ÿ˜œ

Oct 30, 2016 1:36 PM

Sounds like a great guy. :)

Oct 30, 2016 2:29 PM

Your the best GeorgeAnna beautiful hats. Ur Blankets are beautiful. The scarf you made looks like one I was given at the VA while I was hospitalized for a heart attack. They gave me a little blanket too. I felt so special.

Dec 06, 2016 4:44 AM

LMB your boxes are amazing ๐Ÿ˜‰!!! I โค๏ธ them!

Dec 06, 2016 10:52 AM

Dec 07, 2016 7:22 PM

Thanks, it keeps my fingers limber and looks pretty

Dec 09, 2016 1:41 AM

Was in the mood to do some papercrafting today. I made some cards

Dec 09, 2016 1:43 AM

Carousel horse

Dec 09, 2016 7:10 AM

LMB you are very talented, the extent of my arts and crafts are adult colouring books and my card making is very basic, stickers, stencils, glue and glitter! But it gets me out of my head for a bit which is all I ask for at times!

Dec 09, 2016 7:14 AM

Oh my, that picture is upside down!!! Lol that is me all over ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜‚ x

Dec 09, 2016 7:29 AM

Shar, what a beautiful piece of jewelry!!!

Dec 09, 2016 10:20 AM

OK I would like to share the last project of 2016. This is for my son who is in North Caroline with his wife and her family.

Dec 09, 2016 11:38 AM

I used to paint and draw a lot !! But now my hands are really terrible. This i's from a few years back

Dec 09, 2016 5:47 PM

@GeorgeAnna Love the blanket!

Dec 09, 2016 8:28 PM

Here's another that I did ! Just thought I would share

Dec 10, 2016 11:24 AM

I've been a little busy trying new ideas.

Dec 10, 2016 4:18 PM

Groovy Man!! If you were here in Berkeley those would sell like hot cakes on Telegraph Ave!! Guessing some lucky folks are going to be having those in there stocking from Santa ScaryAnn!

Dec 11, 2016 10:04 AM

Those are wonderful.

Dec 12, 2016 4:15 AM

JessicaNova great work! ScaryAnn wow your a busy bee!

Dec 12, 2016 4:16 AM

GeorgeAnna beautiful blanket your son is so lucky!

Dec 12, 2016 10:18 AM

I just got my first order! And wouldn't you know it, she wants the one color bead that I don't have on hand. I my have to stop at JoAnn Fabric and pay twice what I can get them for elsewhere. My cousin wants a pair of the peace sign earrings in pink and one in purple. I have purple, but not pink!

Dec 12, 2016 10:50 PM

JoAnn Fabric had some gorgeous hot pink, metallic pink, and metallic purple beads! I'm going to regret it, because I'm allergic to metals, but I'm keeping a pair of earrings for myself! Plus my cousin's ex-wife just opened a craft store and she told me that I am welcome to sell then in her store! Now I have to get through a week of appointments so I can get back to creating.

Dec 13, 2016 4:47 PM

I still do some cake decorating. And started some wood projects in tbe summer.

Dec 13, 2016 5:13 PM

@ScaryAnn Just coat the metal with clear nail polish and you should not have a problem. When it wears off coat it again.

Dec 13, 2016 8:56 PM

LMB, that worked for several years for me, but for some reason it doesn't anymore.I can't even allow the plastic of my wrist splints to touch my skin anymore. I can't wear my ring splints every day either as they are starting to make me break out. I've thought about getting some tool dip to see if that helps.

I did sell two pair of earrings today and made one pair. Tomorrow I have all day to work on some more. :-)

Dec 14, 2016 11:58 PM

A few blocks I am sewing to get ready for my next quilt project.

Dec 15, 2016 12:35 AM

When a local antique store burned I was given a big bag of jewelry. I cleaned all the pieces & made this & another one. It is the first decoration I put up the day after Thanksgiving.

Dec 15, 2016 12:37 AM

That is beautiful, I love it Silvrrry xx

Dec 15, 2016 12:45 AM

Silvrrry
That's stunning. What a wonderful idea to repurpose jewelry. :)

Dec 15, 2016 10:34 AM

I color. It's awesome and totally calms me down . Relatively inexpensive and fun. Unplugged!

Dec 17, 2016 10:57 AM

This is my newest design. I absolutely love it. One my way now to get more beads.

Dec 17, 2016 10:58 AM

And I've improved the peace sign earrings.

Dec 19, 2016 2:20 AM

I just save things on pinterest that I want to make then never do it lol

Dec 19, 2016 3:12 AM

This is mine

Dec 19, 2016 8:14 AM

Lol itsagoodday! I can totally relate. :)

Dec 19, 2016 8:17 AM

ScaryAnn. On Saturday a group of us from church put together Christmas Baskets to take to some of the widows, widowers and those unable to get out. One of the ladies had 2 children who made ornaments from larger beads to put in each basket. :) thought of your wonderful creations when I saw these. Of course they were made from larger beads and not quite as intricate as yours.

Dec 19, 2016 3:01 PM

I'm hoping to get several things made up and put them in my cousin's store to sell. This is what I put on my loom today. About 4 hours into it so far.

Dec 19, 2016 4:19 PM

Scary - do you do headbands? A dear friend beaded one for me. I loved it... Unfortunately it does today.

Dec 19, 2016 7:14 PM

Collage

Dec 19, 2016 8:08 PM

Mimikay, I haven't tried a headband yet, but I don't see why I couldn't figure one out. :-) I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Dec 20, 2016 3:29 PM

I can take pictures of mine to show you If you want.

Dec 20, 2016 3:36 PM

My sons quilt is finally completed.. Just in time for Christmas. I pieced it together and a friend put it on her long arm to do the quilting. :) he better like it. Lol. Some of you saw the unquilted piece earlier in this thread. So wanted to show how it turned out.

Dec 20, 2016 3:52 PM

Wow Mimikay that's amazing. It's soo beautiful xx

Dec 20, 2016 4:19 PM

This is the back..

Dec 20, 2016 4:20 PM

Front and back. Lol

Dec 20, 2016 4:21 PM

Last but not least - a close up view of one of the corners.

Dec 20, 2016 4:30 PM

OMG Quilt Sensation!!! So wonderful, warm and beautiful. Holy wow!! I keep dreaming one day I'll be able to quilt again, but mine are nothing so fabulous as that beauty! Fantastic!!

Dec 20, 2016 5:03 PM

Thank you Saphira. I am fairly new at quilting. This is only my second full size quilt. I have done a few baby quilts and a table runner. This quilt took over a year due to health issues and a car accident plus my mom's health I haven't been able to dedicate as much time and energy to it. I love quilting though. Its kinda funny. In High School - back when home ec was an option - I almost flunked that class because I could not see. :) so when I moved back here to be my mom's caregiver and she insisted on teaching me to quilt I laughed. Never in a million years did I imagine I could do this. Its why I am super excited to have completed this one.

Dec 20, 2016 5:23 PM

....

Dec 20, 2016 6:05 PM

Sozki, is that scary reaper a manifestation of your pain monster?

Dec 20, 2016 6:20 PM

Sozki - is that something you drew and are painting. Its really interesting.

Dec 20, 2016 6:33 PM

Saphira naw just a painting.my next me canvas will be my pain monster.that is jusa painting i have a buuuunch of um

Dec 20, 2016 6:34 PM

Mimikat just a painting

Dec 20, 2016 6:36 PM

..

Dec 20, 2016 8:53 PM

Mimikay it's even more beautiful up close and you have every right to be proud and excited about completing this and your son should be over the moon receiving this, he is very lucky. I wish I could do things like this but I've never been very good with a needle and thread!

Dec 20, 2016 10:40 PM

Me either Sezzy. I was so bad at sewing it scared me to death to even think of buying fabric, much less cutting and sewing them. For some reason though I can actually get my machine to see straight lines with 1/4 inch seams.

Dec 20, 2016 11:32 PM

THERES SOME TALENTED FOLK ON HERE KEEP IT UP !!

Dec 20, 2016 11:33 PM

Wow Sozki your paintings are out of this world xxxx

Dec 21, 2016 1:01 AM

Sozki - it's not just a painting hun. You painted it - so a part of you remains with the painting. You are talented... Give yourself permission to acknowledge that. ((( Iol. Do as I say and not as I do. ;) )))

Its so hard to accept compliments. I know I struggle with it. :)

Just remember that from now on all your paintings are special, if for no other reason than the fact that they are your paintings.

Dec 21, 2016 3:12 AM

I take pictures. Www.photo-graph.info

Dec 21, 2016 4:36 AM

This is what have been working on. Started with a pattern off of Pinterest then embellished. It's a neck heat pack. Removable neck roll can be microwaved for heat.

Dec 21, 2016 4:38 AM

I've named him Drake. He's a dragon.

Dec 21, 2016 4:40 AM

I so want one of those... wow! Hes amazeballs Tam! Hehe ur so clever ๐Ÿ˜š

Dec 21, 2016 4:41 AM

I've been hand sewing around each scale. I started him for last year's Christmas present. Now he is almost done & I ship him to Colorado.

Dec 21, 2016 4:45 AM

I see you are awake at 2:45 am as am I. Wait. You are prabably in a different time zone.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜€Anyway glad to hear from you anytime. I am pretty dry in my responses but that will change as I get to know you all๐Ÿ˜€

Dec 21, 2016 10:35 AM

I love that dragon.

Dec 21, 2016 10:48 AM

Tamtoad... Where could I find that pattern? My daughter's all about dragons.

Dec 21, 2016 2:22 PM

On Etsy search dragon Rice filled hot pack. It's the basic. I added scales & wings & mystic embroidery. Let me know if you want wing pattern. Also I changed the tail to be pointed & forked would be even better.๐Ÿ˜€Happy sewing. If you can not gget the pattern from sellers on Etsy go on Pinterest.

Dec 21, 2016 4:19 PM

Thanks Tam. Its a thought for next Christmas. I have to.make three toddler quilts first. Ack.

Dec 21, 2016 8:02 PM

Mimikay, I'd love to see a picture of your headband. Sorry for not responding sooner. I've been busy with my beads, trying to keep my mind off the funeral tomorrow.

Dec 22, 2016 1:56 AM

ScaryAnn - here is one view of it.

Dec 22, 2016 1:57 AM

Another view

Dec 22, 2016 1:24 PM

I'm sure I could do something along that idea! I may have to try that next!

Dec 22, 2016 10:22 PM

((((( hugs ))))) ScaryAnn. Thinking of you.

Dec 23, 2016 8:15 AM

Mimikay what a beauty of a quilt!! It's gorgeous.

Keteclavero
Don't think we have met before. Hi!

I have never heard of that type of jewelry but the one pictures is stunning. I love the color choices.

Dec 31, 2016 1:13 PM

Keteclavero that is absolutely gorgeous!

Jan 03, 2017 10:54 AM

Keteclavero, lovely to eet you and see your very Victorian looking pendant. Just beautiful.

Jan 03, 2017 10:37 PM

So many talented peeps here! I enjoy this thread so much. Wow everyone๐Ÿ’•

Jan 06, 2017 5:38 AM

Wow you ladies are so very talented. I wish I had the patience to still do crafty and my drawing. I miss drawing I realised after seeing all your great posts. So went in search of the latest one I did for my son. It was before fibro when I had the patience to sit still and do it in one sitting.

Jan 06, 2017 9:22 AM

Wow that's amazing, I've found that really hard not being able to do all the things I used to be able to do ๐Ÿ˜ข but it can be fun trying to find other things to interest you xx

Jan 06, 2017 10:24 AM

Ouch... I love that drawing!

Jan 06, 2017 10:39 AM

I have begun loom knitting and enjoy making blankets

Jan 06, 2017 10:40 AM

Damba - very nice. :)

Jan 06, 2017 11:31 AM

Ouch--do you think you may be able to take commissions? Would love to purchase dragon drawing--however, not meant to put pressure as I understand fibro/pain fatigue. Just wanted you to know the drawing is good & could sell. I actually can draw but need picture or model to draw from--so limited talent there. I think I may be meandering. Arm wrist hand pains make it difficult to do hand work--crochet, embroidery are favorites but just don't have the energy to finish what I start. Wrist is hurting so will end this post'--
Damba, Mimikay & Ouch your talent is amazing. Creativity helps us cope with our limitations. We are okay exploring outside the box.๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜Š

Jan 06, 2017 11:49 AM

Ouchithurts2, Tamtoad has a good point. Have you ever considered selling your art, like for painters or even tattoo artists? It's really good!!

Samba, what exactly is loom knitting, and is it hard? I've tried crochet but can't hold the needles. My hands and neck cramps up, and it's cost me seeing and cross stitching. I'd love to do something.

Jan 06, 2017 11:55 AM

I enjoy the loom knitting because as long as you do the first stitch you can stop and start as needed, I find it much easier than crochet you can also do smaller projects with different looks like scarves and hats and more

Jan 06, 2017 1:08 PM

One thing my physical therapist recommended for When my neck/ shoulders get tight is to do this one exercise. I can do it anywhere - while driving, sewing, reading etc.

You keep your posture still and thrust your chin out. Hold it for 5 seconds them pull it as far back as you can for another count of 5 then relax. I do it about 10 to 15 times.

Also when I know I will be absorbed in sewing or reading etc. I set my timer on my phone. Every 30 - 45 minutes I stop what I am doing and do some stretching. This helps to lesson the stiffness from doing my crafting.

What things have others found to help them?

Jan 06, 2017 1:10 PM

Great ideas. Thank you.

Jan 06, 2017 3:19 PM

Oh gosh ๐Ÿ˜ถ thank you sezzy, mimikay. Tamtoad, Flappsy I've never thought of it to be quite honest. It's a great idea though. When I was younger I used to do special cards for Easter, Christmas and birthdays with lead pencil and watercolours.
Tamtoad I can definitely start working on one for you. Although I don't know how long it will take me now ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿค—

Jan 06, 2017 4:30 PM

I have nothing but time Ouch....๐Ÿค—

Jan 06, 2017 4:33 PM

Mimikay I will let you know about taking frequent stretch breaks. Right now on perm break as I have those flu symptoms. I feel like on the verge of some major muscle jerking. My nerves are on hyper drive. Does anyone get this?

Jan 07, 2017 8:15 AM

We've been making cards this morning. Jo made the top 2 as 2 of her friends have their birthdays soon and mine is the bottom....we're sending little pieces of ourselves with our cards ๐Ÿ˜Š feels good to do x

Jan 07, 2017 10:29 AM

That's how I create too--as you go๐Ÿ™„โžกโ†˜โ†—โฌ…โ†™โ†–โ†ฉโ†ชโ†”โ†•โคตโคด๐Ÿ˜€ does the mermaid tail have a back as well? Will you put fins on the bottom. A warm snugglely for sure๐Ÿ™…

Jan 07, 2017 10:31 AM

Looks really cozy MyscticMum!!! Very snuggly..๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

Jan 07, 2017 3:18 PM

Thank you took me all day with loads of breaks but set out to have it finished today and I loved doing it.... now to buy more yarn hahahaha hubby wont be happy

Jan 07, 2017 4:21 PM

I wish I knew you 5 months ago. I gather donations for the VA and for a woman's shelter. Someone had donated 3 large garbage bags full of yarn.

Jan 07, 2017 4:34 PM

Next time ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰xxx

Jan 07, 2017 5:04 PM

You guys are doing wonderfully well. You're an inspiration. Today is a bad day so I'll come back another day. Have not been creative lately. Cheers to all.

Jan 07, 2017 5:24 PM

Gentle hugz this has been the first day in months I have had enough energy to do this.... hope you feel more up to it soon xx

Jan 10, 2017 8:00 AM

Jan 10, 2017 2:28 PM

Ooh! My son would love these! And he's 35 ๐Ÿ˜Ž. So cool.

Jan 10, 2017 2:30 PM

And the mermaid tails ๐Ÿ˜€. Kids love these ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜€โ˜บ๐Ÿ˜„

Jan 10, 2017 2:37 PM

Jan 10, 2017 5:11 PM

I didnt want mine as long but you can go longer with them

Jan 13, 2017 3:54 PM

OMG!!! Everyone is so talented.. it's awesome to see all of these wonderful things. The mermaide tail looks warm and cozy (I'd forget I had it on and fall on my face๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜œ).
The dragons are awesome. As someone who has owned many lizards and snakes over the years, I love it.
Keep it up everyone, it's uplifting isn't it??๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

Jan 13, 2017 4:04 PM

They tail is very cosy has requests from mums at the scho hehe the scales are easy making a scarf to match xxx

Jan 13, 2017 4:04 PM

Jan 15, 2017 12:57 PM

Random critters invaded yesterday.

Jan 15, 2017 2:31 PM

I've started baking again, its something I used to do with my Nan as a teenager. But a friend of mine has 3 birthdays a week apart for each and I made the cakes. Forgot how much I enjoyed it although sometimes they look very homemade
Here's a wedding cake I made a couple of years ago as I can't find any recent pics. The first and last wedding cake though

Jan 22, 2017 5:38 PM

Today was my first teddy bear

Jan 22, 2017 5:39 PM

Your very talented ScaryAnn I love seeing your new creations

Jan 22, 2017 5:41 PM

I made this for my sister's birthday last week, I was pretty pleased how it turned out

Jan 22, 2017 5:43 PM

That's awesome! I don't have the patients for that. LOL

Jan 22, 2017 5:44 PM

I think the poem was ok....I'm not a talented poet like my daughter so I looked at different quotes online and wrote this from combining and changing around a few that I liked.
I think it suited us growing up ๐Ÿ˜‚

Jan 23, 2017 3:29 PM

Today's critters

Jan 23, 2017 3:47 PM

ScaryAnn I love your critters. Wht are they made from?

Jan 23, 2017 5:56 PM

Thank you. They're made with beads and wire. I've gotten most of my patterns online. Some I've worked out without a pattern.

Jan 23, 2017 8:14 PM

I paint

Jan 23, 2017 8:14 PM

And another

Jan 23, 2017 11:11 PM

Jan 24, 2017 11:42 AM

Omg, you all have so much talent! I miss my crafts and baking cakes. I love all y'all's crafts! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒธ

Jan 24, 2017 12:31 PM

I tried the rose with smaller beads today! I'm loving the smaller one.

Jan 24, 2017 12:50 PM

Wow ScaryAnn they are amazing, I love the roses

Jan 24, 2017 1:23 PM

Love the roses... Especially the yellow. It was my mom's favorite flower.

Jan 24, 2017 2:19 PM

I made this earlier...It was meant to be a bracelet but I made it a bit big (in fairness the knotting thread I used is thinner than the other thread I had used!) So I'm now going to make it into a choker, I just need to get a clasp

Jan 24, 2017 2:30 PM

I think a choker is a great idea, and make a matching bracelet or earrings. I use to wear them when I was younger.

Jan 24, 2017 2:31 PM

Flappys that is exactly what I was thinking....great minds think alike! ๐Ÿ’ž

Jan 25, 2017 12:05 AM

Jess89, what awesome work you do.. my nephew is a budding artist and brought over a painting he did at school which ended up being a winner in the county art fair.
ScaryAnn, I'm loving the flowers. They're BOTH fabulous and you should (many folks on this thread should) open an Etsy shop or do something to sell your beautiful workings.
Sezzy, I love that choker!! You did a real bang up job.. amazing. I wish I knew how to do half this stuff..๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿค—

Jan 25, 2017 10:51 AM

Love this drawing! Great idea to turn pain into flowers!

Jan 26, 2017 11:14 AM

Green and yellow dragons, and roses.

Jan 26, 2017 11:16 AM

Dragons, roses, cat, horse, and teddy bear.

Jan 26, 2017 4:19 PM

I've done the earings and tomorrow I'll do a bracelet to match tomorrow

Jan 27, 2017 5:30 AM

ScaryAnn I love your beading, if I lived closer I'd buy the roses off you, they are my favourite flowers especially the pale yellow with pink tips ๐Ÿ˜Š

Jan 27, 2017 5:44 AM

Just a little crafty question.....does anyone else find its cheaper to go into a DIY/hard wear shop to buy things like a tool box instead of a craft box or a small parts container instead of a craft separator?
The small parts separator that I got was about a third of the price than the ones I've seen in the craft shops!!!
I was given a big tool box which even tho it was given to me I've seen it in the DIY shop at the same price as the craft boxes but my tool box is twice the size of craft boxes.....I'm just amazed that the same things can have such different prices just because they are pink or white instead of black and grey

Jan 27, 2017 9:40 AM

I'm loving all the bead work!! Sezzy your jewelry is lovely!!
ScaryAnn, I am loving your roses and your animals.. very cool!!!
{{Hugs}} to all and keep up the awesome work everyone!!๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

Jan 27, 2017 9:46 AM

This is a rattle toy I crocheted for my great-neice's. It is one of the first things I made.

Jan 27, 2017 9:56 AM

How sweet AnimalLover! And Sezzy, that's an awesome idea on shipping at hardware stores for storage containers! I hadn't thought of it. But omg, craft stores are ridiculously priced!!

Jan 27, 2017 12:29 PM

Right at the moment one of my favorite places to keep my beading supplies is a "Red Bird Peppermint Candy" tub. LOL It holds my pliers, wire, and most of my other supplies, but it doesn't keep them very organized. LOL But yes we look in many areas for storage containers before we buy them. I've seen the same boxes (same color and all) in fishing tackle boxes and in craft storage and the fishing tackle box will be cheaper.

Feb 02, 2017 12:08 PM

I make cards and I've been working on valentines ones.

Feb 02, 2017 12:38 PM

Wow silentfortress that is amazing, I like making cards but there nowhere near as good as yours. Mine look like a child has made them but I only make them for fun x

Feb 02, 2017 1:50 PM

Hi Sezzy thanks it's just good to sit down and concentrate on something for a wee bit. Mine are just for fun too but it is a good hobby xx

Feb 02, 2017 6:35 PM

Latest make for my sister in laws birthday had to frog it a bit as she has rather wide hips!!!! Xx

Feb 02, 2017 10:32 PM

MyscticMum I love that that, it's soo beautiful and the colour is amazing (anything in purple is always a winner in my book!!!)

I really wish I had the patience and knowhow to knit but alas no I can't ๐Ÿ˜• last time I tried to knit a scarf it started about 5 inches wide but ended up 10 inches wide with a load of dropped and added stich!!! ๐Ÿ˜จ even when I tried to correct anything I just made it worse ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ
lmao it is just not something that I can sit and do!!!

Feb 02, 2017 10:46 PM

Silentfortress what die cutter do you use? I'm thinking of saving up for one but not sure which one to go for? I have a really small one that does 3 inches by 1 1/2 inches which is great for small dies but looking at your card has made me want a bigger one all the more x

Feb 03, 2017 11:56 AM

The card that silentfirtress made looks like it was done on a silhouette machine. I have one and once you get the learning curve mastered it is awesome. The hardest part is which brand of paper cuts best. Also cutting glitter cardstock is really hard on the cutting blade. If you save one blade for just glitter paper your blades will last much longer. There are tons of hacks on pinterest to re-sticky the cutting mats so you don't have to replace them too often either.

Feb 03, 2017 11:59 AM

Oh no. Maybe not your fortay Sezzy! Im in so much pain today and can barely move my wrist now but worth it xxx

Feb 04, 2017 2:48 AM

Thank you LMB I'll look into that and see what is available over here and thank you for the tips....anything that saves blades, mats and money is always a winner in my book!

Oh no MyscticMum that's awful but looking at the finished product I can definitely see why the pain is worth it, rest up as much as you can so the pain and any swelling goes away quickly.
It's definitely not my fortay, I've tried many times over the years and it doesn't matter how much I try I just can't seem to get the hang of it! I think I'll stick to colouring, card making and shambola jewellery making! Lol xx

Feb 04, 2017 2:49 AM

StrokeSurvivor that colouring in is beautiful x

Feb 04, 2017 3:48 AM

Thanks Sezzy, compliments really mean a lot to me as I have low self-esteem ๐Ÿ˜˜

Feb 04, 2017 3:52 AM

StrokeSurvivor you are a beautiful warrior who has already been thro soo much and can battle anything else that comes your way.
You're stronger than you think you are xx

Feb 04, 2017 6:06 AM

Hi sezzy
I use the dizziness big shot and the dies I used were Borderabilities Spellbinder Paper Arts Scalloped Borders Two Die Template, CALISTOUK Creative Hand Craft Decorative Craft Embossing DIY Parties Cutting Dies Little Fairy & CALISTOUK Durable Happy Life Style DIY Cutting Dies Metal Cutting Stencils Heart
Hope that helps xxx

Feb 04, 2017 10:48 AM

Thank you it does help a lot, I've been looking at the big shot over here as it looks to be the best one for what we would use.....both me and my daughter. If I do anything then she has to try it as well altho she faired better at knitting than I did!!!! Lol

Feb 04, 2017 1:34 PM

I attached one of the small roses to one of the hearts. This is the result.

Feb 05, 2017 2:26 AM

ScaryAnn I really love your work and wish I could get a few of your bigger roses to put in a small vase for my bedroom and the keyring heart rose for my keys.
Your work is amazing

Feb 05, 2017 2:28 AM

Happytoseethesunrise if you can would you post a poem or two? I love reading poetry and my 10yr daughter likes to write poetry as well

Feb 05, 2017 5:34 AM

Happy to help sezzy. I didn't fair well at the knitting either. Puts me to sleep which isn't a good idea with two sharp pointy things in your hands lol
My daughter (one of them) does knitting and the other does jewellery making so we're all quite crafty but all distinctly different. I quite fancy trying crocheting but still undecided as yet whether to give it a go or not xx

Feb 06, 2017 12:27 PM

@ScaryAnn are you beading on wire or some type of cord? Love what you are making I like to do beadwork too. I usually use wire.

Feb 06, 2017 1:28 PM

Silentfortress that is pretty dangerous falling asleep with two sharp pointy things....๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฒ....I used to get annoyed with it so anyone who was around me when I tried all left the room as quickly and quietly as possible!!!! Lmao.
I'd like to try crocheting as well but not sure if it will go the same way as knitting!!! ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ lol
I think for the time I'll keep to colouring, card making and shambola jewellery until I've got the next few appointments out of the way.....don't need to confuse myself much more than I already am lol

Feb 07, 2017 4:04 PM

Posted my paintings earlier but I also do dream catchers. Very soothing

Feb 08, 2017 10:05 AM

@ Silent fortress, the card is beautiful! @ MysticMum, love the consideration for your sister in law's size difference. @ Strokesurvivor, coloring is soothing, love your colors. @ Scaryann, the Rose-heart is absolutely beautiful! @Jess89, I've never seen a dream catcher like yours. I like your style and the colors!

Feb 08, 2017 10:45 AM

LMB I use wire for most things, but I do use fishing line for some things. The roses and hearts are wire.

Feb 09, 2017 2:39 AM

I draw! Well, at least I'm attempting to start drawing. I've always loved drawing but have never been good at it and never taken time for it. But one amazing person (so sorry I can't remember her/his name) told me to start doing something crafty. So, I promised to myself that whenever I feel bitter, have a bad pain day etc. I'll just take a couple of hours and draw. I did that last night and I loved it! That ear drawing is the one I did last night and I'm okay to say that I'm proud of it! I'm just a beginner but I'm excited to see myself getting better!!

Feb 09, 2017 3:47 AM

HeyItIsMe, if you call that beginner work, you're already amazing!!! All of the other crafts are totally awesome and I love to see them all.. ScaryAnn, that rose and heart is gorgeous I love that combination. SilentFortress, those cards are truly beautiful. I've always loved to have something made by someone because it means so much more that they made it with their own two hands.
Keep up the good work everyone!! {{{Hugs}}}๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

Feb 09, 2017 9:22 PM

I am crocheting a Corner 2 corner baby blanket for boy

Feb 10, 2017 4:45 PM

This is my latest picture I've coloured in in....very pleased with t
It xx

Feb 12, 2017 3:33 PM

Heart and rose in purples. I'm not a fan if purple, but I love this. Eventually I'll make one for myself. LOL

Feb 12, 2017 4:29 PM

ScaryAnn purple is my favourite colour and that is stunning

Feb 12, 2017 6:16 PM

Here's a brighter picture of it. And thank you

Feb 12, 2017 10:29 PM

All of the crafts are beautiful! Awesome job everyone! I need to do something before the stress gets me more than it has.

Feb 13, 2017 1:25 AM

I would gladly buy that and a small bunch of your roses but I'm not sure how well they'd fair on the journey across the pond ๐Ÿ˜•

Feb 13, 2017 3:27 AM

With my mental health nurse, I'm making a book so that in the future if I start to struggle, my PTSD is triggered or even where I'm just not able to cope I can look back on this book to remember what strategies helped me and to put then back in place....my daughters diabetic psychologist would call this my "tool box" as it's the tolls to get me back on track.
I'm taking time to do each page as I go so that I might have a better chance remembering it. This is the first page finished. It's a flow chart designed to help stop me over thinking things and to move on using distraction (I've even put suggestions of what could help distract me

Feb 13, 2017 6:47 PM

Sezzy, that is an awesome idea! I hope it helps you.

Yea, I'm not sure how they would hold up either. I've been putting key rings on them to make them easier to hang up. I don't think I'd recomend using them as key chains though.

Feb 15, 2017 4:51 PM

Awesome Sezzy! I may do that too.write more but too tired.

Feb 15, 2017 7:02 PM

If anyone wants to copy it, you're all more than welcome. I've noticed that the picture is a bit blurry so if anyone wants me to take a better picture or to explain it just give me a shout I'm more than happy to help

Feb 15, 2017 10:31 PM

What are the words below fiction and the point right below that?

Feb 15, 2017 11:01 PM

Not sure if this will come out any better but just in case.....

What is your worry or concern?
โฌ‡
Is it
โฌ‡
Fiction ( no evidence )
โฌ‡
Feeling
โฌ‡
Can I do anything about it?
โฌ‡
No
โฌ‡
Use distraction

Or
Can I do anything about it
โฌ‡
Yes
โฌ‡
Do it then
โฌ‡
Use distraction

Or....

Fiction means is it an anxiety or something you think might or might not happen, is it a feeling you feel that has not proof it is going to happen.

Fact means have you got proof of something that's going to happen or needs to be done etc...

Feb 15, 2017 11:01 PM

Sorry I've explained it long winded! !!

Feb 16, 2017 2:01 AM

Feb 16, 2017 12:44 PM

Feb 16, 2017 5:01 PM

@sezzy. That is great therapy. Thank you for sharing.

Feb 17, 2017 11:09 AM

Thanks Sezzy!!! I will use this for sure. I pretty much try to do that but you've really gotten it more specific and easier to follow that way. I hope that it helps you. I'm sure it will help me!!{{{Hugs}}}๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿค—

Feb 17, 2017 2:19 PM

Thank you, it's stuff I'm going thro with my mental health nurse to try and help my anxiety and it has helped a bit. The reason I took the picture in the first place to set it as my lock screen and home screen on my phone so I always have it with me so I can remember to use it all the time as I keep forgetting to!!! 90% of the time I have my phone with me. I'm trying to work out how to print out one small enough for my purse and another for my handbag.
I have some more stuff that I'm putting in my book, would you guys like me to post it when I'm finished each page?

Feb 20, 2017 4:36 PM

This is my very first page for my book, I finished it last week and stuck it in.....the saying is the same as the one tattooed on my chest -
Just as the caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly

I felt it needed to be the first page as you open the book

Feb 20, 2017 4:37 PM

This is the page after the flow chart

Feb 20, 2017 4:38 PM

I'm trying to find some inspirational quotes to go with each page

Feb 20, 2017 5:10 PM

This is the next page that I did with my mental health nurse.
It seems I soak up other people's feelings and worries which is why they always feel better after talking to me and I feel worse! My MH nurse told me I need to shield myself so that I don't take on their stuff as well as my own.
She told me to visualise my shield and strengthen it....the more I visualise it around me like a bubble the stronger it will be then I'll be able to deflect unwanted emotions and situations.

I visualise my shield being like a mirror hence the reason it's silver and the purple inner bubble is a reflection of my amethyst stone in my ring. Not only is it my birthstone, amethyst is also a stone to aid healing. Also the colour of the amethyst stone is my favourite colour.

We've also went over to look for what's going well in my life instead of just concentrating on what's not going well and of course to look for the joys in each day or if it's a bad flare day then look for the joys in each hour.
And we went over that humour is vital, laughing releases happy hormones therefore laughing is good....I'm trying to find things that make me laugh even if no one else finds it funny, it is my sense of humour that's important to me not theirs.
If it makes you laugh then laugh at it (as long as no one gets hurt or anything like that or at the expense of someone else).

This is as far as I've got so far with my book....I'm very pleased with how it's turning out

Feb 20, 2017 8:00 PM

I bake and decorate cake when my pain allows me to.

Feb 20, 2017 8:08 PM

I enjoy painting.

Feb 20, 2017 8:43 PM

Fiestypisces when you next bake and decorate a cake you'll have to show us, we enjoy seeing everyone's talents in everything.....if you have any pictures of your previous cakes we'd love to see them as well.

I like baking but I'm not particularly good at the decorating so I normally stick to stuff that doesn't need decorating or if it does I choose very simple and easy ways of decorating....

This is the cake my 10yr daughter made me for my birthday.....it's the extent of my decorating skills and she copied the idea of the birthday cakes I've made in the past.
Chocolate spread (like Nutella) to separate the vanilla sponge with more to go over the cake and chocolate fingers to go round the side of the cake. Then a choice of sweets, chocolate, marshmallows etc... to decorate the top. I have to say it might be a crude way of decorating a cake but it sure tastes great....you can't go wrong with chocolate!!!
My daughters cake came out better than mine so I'm not a little jealous at all!!!! Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜‚

Feb 20, 2017 8:49 PM

Mitzi your painting is beautiful, I love your choice of colours and the inspirational quote fits beautifully, the font goes wonderfully with the painting.
You'll have to show us more of your paintings and inspirational quotes with them.....I look forward to seeing more x

Feb 22, 2017 6:31 PM

I used to be a chef, so I tend to de stress by messing around with recipes. Recently I've been playing with sourdough recipes and traditionally leavened breads, and also fermenting things like kombucha and wine. It's nice because it's a long lazy process, so if I start a leavening and I'm not feeling so hot the next day, it's no big deal. It'll be fine whenever I get back to it. It's also something I can share with the kids or with other family members.

The picture is bread that my three yr old asked me to make for her. So of course it's pink!

Feb 22, 2017 6:59 PM

I crochet and knit whenever I can.

Feb 22, 2017 7:24 PM

That's great Adam798. I love bread. I find baking hard to do. We'd love to see something Dunbimakaz.

Feb 22, 2017 8:42 PM

I have alot I want to do but havent gotten to it yet. Crochet and sketching/painting

Feb 23, 2017 1:15 PM

Adam.... Looks scrumptious. I love baking and cooking - just can't stand as long as I used to.

Feb 23, 2017 1:18 PM

Animal Lover. I used to have a bread machine. Didn't really like how bread turned out when I used it. I mean, seriously, nothing's better than piping hot bread fresh from the oven. However I kept the machine as it does a great job of mixing the ingredients up. :)

Feb 23, 2017 10:46 PM

A inspirational quote for my "recovery" book

Feb 25, 2017 1:46 PM

I grow ....

Feb 25, 2017 3:36 PM

Thank you very much. I'm planning on retiring at the end of the school year. Right now I only paint on weekends or when school is out. I hope to paint much more soon. ๐Ÿ’œ

Feb 25, 2017 7:23 PM

Now that I'm disabled and can't hold a job I like to make knives on days that I don't hurt so bad

Feb 25, 2017 8:29 PM

Crochet, crochet, crochet!

Feb 26, 2017 4:33 AM

Elad those knives look great, do you make the handles as well?

Feb 26, 2017 4:35 AM

GammiB you'll have to show us some pics of your crochet, we all would love to see what you make x

Feb 26, 2017 5:12 AM

My hubby wearing Dallas Cowboy toboggan I made for him. My hands have gotten so painful I have slowed way down on projects.

Feb 26, 2017 5:24 AM

That is a great hat, I wish I had the skill and patience to crochet and knit but they don't seem to be my thing sadly ๐Ÿ˜ฆ adult colouring books and simple baking are what I do

Feb 26, 2017 5:31 AM

OMGosh yes! I love adult coloring books too!

Feb 26, 2017 5:39 AM

You'll have to post some pics of them as well....I've posted a few pics on here that I've done.

I love seeing what everyone does and it's soo uplifting to see that despite our personal battles we have, we all still do things we enjoy and to take our minds off things like do our arts and crafts

Feb 26, 2017 7:07 AM

Here are some of my recent ones

Feb 26, 2017 8:58 AM

That looks sooo good, Adam.โ˜บ

Feb 26, 2017 12:56 PM

This is the picture I started today, it's another picture for my "recovery book"

Feb 26, 2017 1:08 PM

Beautiful!

Feb 26, 2017 1:38 PM

That is beautiful. Where can I get a copy of that book?

Feb 26, 2017 1:41 PM

I got it in a shop called hobby craft here in England, each page has a quote

Feb 26, 2017 1:43 PM

Because I use pencils, fine liners and gel pens I'm able to photocopy the pictures so I can colour them as many times as I like.....plus my daughter loves colouring in the same pictures as me so this way she can't moan at me when there's a picture I've already done!!!!

Feb 26, 2017 3:29 PM

Soooo cute!

Feb 26, 2017 4:04 PM

Wow ScaryAnn you are soo talented I love all your bead designs

Feb 26, 2017 5:49 PM

Wow! Looks incredible. Thats takes patience & dedication ๐Ÿค—

Feb 27, 2017 7:23 PM

Thanks everyone. I don't even have a pattern for these ones. Our Geocaching group calls themselves the Bee Hive, so I made up my own pattern for these bees.

Mar 01, 2017 6:41 AM

This is my first attempt at coloring. I didn't like coloring at first but after a while I enjoyed it. This took a long while. Is there anything I could improve on?

Mar 01, 2017 9:28 AM

Animallover2 that picture is gorgeous. There's nothing you need to improve on, I've found that you just need to follow your heart for what colours you use and if you wanted you can use a mix of gel pens, pencils and fine liners or paints or whatever materials you want to use.
Your imagination is your only limitation

Mar 01, 2017 9:33 AM

I've finally finished this page....it took longer than expected but then I did leave it for a couple of days where I've not been feeling up to it

Mar 02, 2017 8:16 AM

Another picture. I had fun with this.

Mar 02, 2017 8:51 AM

That's beautiful Animallover2, love all the colours

Mar 02, 2017 8:53 AM

I'm working on this one atm, I'm hoping I'll finish it tonight then I can put it in my book

Mar 02, 2017 10:41 AM

Elad... I love those. Do you sell them?

Mar 02, 2017 2:15 PM

Spent all morning on this

Mar 02, 2017 2:49 PM

Gotobef that owl is gorgeous

Mar 02, 2017 3:04 PM

Still got to decorate the page.

I've been told to stop saying yes to everything....it's called the yes bell because when someone asks you to do something you say yes and your body releases dopamine the feel good hormone but when you actually realise what you've said yes too and can't really do it you feel worse than you did before and worry about how you can do it.

Instead of saying yes immediately ask if you can think about it and get back to them in a bit?
Then go off to the loo or to make a tea and ask yourself....
....can you do it?
....can you do it for when they want?
....put your own conditions in
If you can't do it -
IT'S OK TO SAY NO

This can help you to feel in control again

Mar 02, 2017 3:05 PM

This is my picture

Mar 02, 2017 3:06 PM

Sezzy that is wonderful. Good job. Sexy my autocorrect changed your name to sexy. Lol

Mar 05, 2017 10:03 AM

TasCakez13 that is a powerful picture, I can feel the pain coming out of it from the eye and the lines going over the page.
I can't make out the writing tho

Mar 05, 2017 12:08 PM

Sezzy, my camera batteries died, so I used my phone for this one. The winter pictures I posted in another post, I did that with my camera.

Mar 05, 2017 4:45 PM

I play with the yarn and donate to the church that has helped my family as well as well American Legion I do single, double and triple thickness. All are super warm

Mar 06, 2017 9:54 AM

I know that feeling all too well. My landlord decided to put my family on the 3rd floor and no elevator. When my legs act up I am stuck in the house. My yarn is a sanity check

Mar 06, 2017 9:55 AM

I got some money for my birthday and put it towards the Xcut embossing and die cutting machine.
I absolutely love it and have started making cards with it and these are my first ones. I also have a lot of stamps which I've used as well.
My cards are not professional but they are hand made from my heart and given with love ๐Ÿ’ž

Over the weekend my youngest sister can over with a card for me....when I opened it I was shocked, she's asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. She's asked her best friend to be her maid of honour as she has me and the sister between us and her fiancรฉe's sister so didn't want to choose between us thank heavens I don't think I would of coped well with that responsibility and it's going to be hard enough to get thro the wedding as it is but no dates been set yet.
Now I'm going to need to make a card to accept being her bridesmaid.
I haven't picked up any wedding dies or stamps yet!!!!

Mar 06, 2017 10:03 AM

Wow Sezzy that's stunning. The colors really pop. Congratulations on the wedding and to the bride and groom.

Mar 07, 2017 11:59 AM

Not at all gotobef, he looks like he's sitting in the sunset. It makes him really stand out I love it

Mar 07, 2017 3:18 PM

Thanks Sezzy. The blue softens it a bit. I still don't like it but it no longer feels like a complete failure

Mar 07, 2017 7:11 PM

I make jewelry but could go on for an eternity about all the arts and crafts I do.

Mar 07, 2017 7:13 PM

A sweater clip I did recently, I am trying to work stone into my work which has always been metals.

Jdkimrey your jewellery is stunning, I love the cardigan clip it's beautiful and something I would love to wear

Mar 08, 2017 11:25 AM

Sezzy, thank you so much! I've had a lot of requests to add stones and natural pieces to my work. It's been challenging. Not as challenging as designing menswear though . Lol

Mar 08, 2017 11:51 AM

Jdkimrey do you ship to the UK?

Mar 08, 2017 12:19 PM

This is what I have been working on lately (when my hands & wrists will let me). I love to crochet!

Mar 15, 2017 4:40 AM

Amccvallister your pictures are extremely good and the power lines have always interested me....I'm not sure if it's the stark metal of them or how they stand tall in the countrysideโ€‹?

Mar 15, 2017 4:45 AM

This is the picture I'm working on at the moment, my daughter wanted me to colour it for her so she can frame it and put it in her room

Mar 15, 2017 11:25 AM

My man loves origami he made this adult version complete with nipples. Everyone that sees it usually cannot stop laughing.

Mar 20, 2017 5:18 PM

LMB that is soo funny.... I didn't realise that there was adult origami, that is just soo funny!!!

Mar 20, 2017 5:32 PM

Westrengirl and Jess89 thank you, I do try to stay positive and see the light in life as there's already too much darkness. I try to keep in the light as I've seen the darkness and it's not a place I want to see again so I try to live by trying to speak positively, when you speak positively, you'll start to think positive and when you think positively you'll start to act positively.
Put on your best smile, laugh till you cry and try to make at least one complement to someone a day just because you can

Mar 20, 2017 6:06 PM

Yes, there is adult orgami. It cracked me up that someone could have the patience to do all that with one piece of paper. I can barely fold a swan. Just not my thing. I thought it was funny when he made it for me. So much for subtle hints

Mar 20, 2017 6:56 PM

Mar 27, 2017 7:56 PM

Oh I uh draw and like uh theatre counts as like a craft right uhhhhh.

Mar 27, 2017 10:33 PM

Loved theatre in school. I couldn't do stage. Lol. That terrified me. ;) but I loved doing makeup and helping with the sets. We put on Uncle Remus takes with Brer Rabbit, Brer Doc and Brer Bear. Doing that make up was fun. Wizard of Oz was the big production my Junior year. My sister was the wicked witch. I remember having to do her and the gate keepers make up about 5am for a show they put on for elementary school. When the gate keepers makeup was done he snuck out and went to police station to report his spaceship as stolen and wife missing. My sister - when she escaped the makeup chair (grin) went to the police to report her husband had disappeared. Those two were a hoot.

Embrace drama. Take time to enjoy your drawings. (i bet they are amazing). You could even combine your talents and work on helping create the different sets (scenery) for the play.

Ok. Can't keep eyes open. Lol. Love ya!

It's taking me longer than usual to finish this picture with my 14yr son developing neuralgia pain the same as me ๐Ÿ˜ž I've had a meeting with his head of year at school and they are being very understanding and giving him a lot of leeway after he explained how painful it is and how it makes him soo tired. As long as he tries to go in, even if it's for an hour a day, they can keep his attendance from dropping any more and they'll give him all the help he needs so that he doesn't fall too far behind

Mar 28, 2017 4:31 AM

I'm sorry to hear Sezzy. I like your picture.

Mar 29, 2017 5:44 PM
