Are these pills you take on a regular basis or do you just take them when you are hurting really bad.I learned in nursing school and have found it true for me that if I let myself get into extreme pain then take a pain pill it often doesn't help much. Reason being is that we need to take those meds on a regular schedule so there is always some in your system.am sure I am not explaining it right (and rules may have changed since then. ) but if you keep a steady schedule the medication is in your system and when you hit a spot where it's really needed or you take something for break through pain it doesn't have to work so hard to give you relief.
These pills I do take everyday and usually at the same time. Not more then and hour or two off. I've been on such a hectic schedule the last few weeks and pain has been getting higher and higher. And nothing is getting easier. Tomorrow we leave for my surgery tomorrow and so we had our Thanksgiving today. I'm low on my tramadol which only takes the edge off. Plus I've got TMJ and mouth sore pain. I need a sledge hammer.
Newfibrogirl they're probably not giving you any relief because you've got the stress of your surgery coming up and you're trying to figure out who you con look after your dad. Just take a few minutes to sit down and just breathe, clear your mind and hopefully that will help clear. You're in my prayers lovely lady that your able to quiet your mind and you have a good and quick recovery xx
