I don't know, I'm currently waiting for my referral!

Evaluate your physical limitations, discuss problems and possible solutions. Determine if your current meds are right or need changing. Determine if injections might bring better long term relief. With me the injx cut my meds in half of more. 🙏🌼

I have been to several clinics and the are needle happy solutions. I was injected with steroid in the epidural sack at one clinic, and the other two clinics i have tried including the one I currently go to, inject me from head to knees on my back side with the similar drug that the dentist uses on you to numb you for dental surgery. They use 3 to 4 inch needles to inject this drug into me. Yes it helps but it is short lived, like one and half to two days of partial pain relief. So if you don't like needles then you may not like they experience of a pain clinic.

I had one, they said they weren't sure about diagnosis but course the most likely one. Went straight to physical therapy, found alternative meds.

Maggie1975, my injx were done with me asleep because of my fear of needles. They were ESI's (epidural steroid injections-injx). A series of 3 injx were done at my C7-T1, T11-12, L4-S1 levels each. They injx 2 facets once each, and it hurt like the devil for days, so I'm not as keen on getting them. I did 2 1/2 years, cycling through the areas, until each level received 2 series each (6 injx per level total). Other than the facet injx and the initial 2-4 days following, I noticed a decrease in my spine pain & migraines/headaches the more we did. My last injx was January 2014, and I'm just beginning to get sciatica and lumbar, and cervicogenic headaches again. I can't receive anymore injx until I'm finished at Mayo (tremors, dizziness & imbalance).

Luckily for me, I responded very well to injx. If I hadn't I would be in unbearable pain. I'm allergic to 9 of 10 pain meds, no joke! I have a genetic issue that doesn't allow me to responded metabolize most pain meds and psych drugs. The injx were a blessing for me! But not everyone responds as well. I would suggest you try one or two series and if it doesn't help them you're probably not going to have as good of results as I did. Good luck and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🌼
