I am rambling on and on. I am feeling very lonely today. I played down for a while to stretch and relax my upper back and ribcage... I kinda feel like I am in a Debbie Downer mood... So I am rallying here , to get my emotional spirits up.

Dec 31, 2015 12:56 PM

I did not played down,,,,, I layed down..... Sheesh typos

Dec 31, 2015 1:35 PM

Sorry Terri, I went back to sleep after that post. 1776 is a musical that is based upon events that happened during the drafting and voting on the Declaration of Independence.

Dec 31, 2015 2:57 PM

Lately I've been watching a lot of Ghibli films, partially because my roommate loves them, and they're in Japanese (her first language)...I've been living it because we've been sticking to the fun ones so far, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, Totoro, etc. My favorite that we watched was The Cat Returns.

Other than that, my favorite movie is either The Perks of Being a Wallflower or Wish I Was Here. Loved them both so much.

I remember watching 1776 when we were studying US history, and it was goofy. For some reason, right now is reminding me of The Man From Snowy River.

I really liked Blue is the Warmest Color. It's a French film, but not exactly "appropriate". I didn't even notice the rating since it was on Netflix, so I got a bit of a shock early on. But the story is really beautiful, although the ending had loose ends, as many non American films do....but if you watch it, look up the ratings first and the "why" to know what you're getting into.

Speaking of foreign films, in Spanish we watched some movie that ended with 2 kids who wanted to stay with each other jumping off a cliff and fading into a mist. A bunch of people were really really pissed off, but it had a point and a meaning. Don't remember the name though.

Ooh, also Team America, if you think making fun of action movies with marionettes is worth watching.

Or Waynes World, or Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Dec 31, 2015 3:31 PM

I love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Born Yesterday (with Judy Holiday and William Holden). Down Argentine Way (with Betty Grable, Charlotte Greenwood, Carmen Miranda, Don Ameche). Per Wee's Big Adventure (LOL.. Just cause I'm twisted and it's funny!) Ace Ventura, Pet detective (I thought I'd never recover from!!).. I'm sure I'll think of more!!
Oooh, Oooooh... My Big Fat Greek Wedding (Love it!!)πŸ’•πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜

Dec 11, 2016 5:10 AM

I'm a guilty Netflix binge watcher.
Black Mirror is absolutely amazing. White Rabbit project is cool and interesting . Stranger things is really great too.
When I was younger I enjoyed breaking bad but now it kind of makes me.depressed lol.
I also enjoy watching dragon ball ( I have a lot of time to kill).
Right now I'm watching jumanji because sleep isn't happening, nice and nostalgic jumanji lol. A harry Potter marathon is always fun but that's over 24 hours of film. Same with LOTR. Starwars is always good too.
Rick and Morty is my #1 all time favorite entertainment .

Dec 11, 2016 5:51 AM

Sister Act is my favorite. It is hilarious.

Dec 11, 2016 6:26 AM

I love Pirates of the Caribbean .... the first one is the best. When it came out in the cinema my sister had to go back to watch it again because I was laughing so much she couldn't hear it!!!!

Dec 11, 2016 6:32 AM

I love Beaches as well it was the first film that made me cry.
Even now from the very beginning I'm in tears but I still watch it 😒

Dec 11, 2016 6:54 AM

I am in love with "The Theory of Everything" 😍

But my guilty pleasure is Disney and Dreamworks πŸ˜‡ Minions, Inside out, Home, Big Hero 6, all Ice Age(in Norwegian because the voice is played by a hilarious stand up comedian), ect ect :-P

Dec 11, 2016 7:00 AM

IceAki animated movies are awesome !! Growing up I loved the little mermaid and 101 dalmatians.
Inside out and home are great films.

Dec 11, 2016 7:07 AM

A fun fact about watching animated movies:
If you have much pain and need to find a distraction. Watch a animatet movie because you don't need as much concentration to follow the story. It is so much easier! :) and it helps to cope with your pain for a while.

Dec 11, 2016 7:08 AM

Yeeess !! I find myself in the family section of Netflix a lot. It's fun for all the room mates lol! I used to play a lot of video games but my hands are super bad now . movies are my saviour

Dec 11, 2016 7:23 AM

Sezzy they are remaking Beaches. I can't remember the new actors.

Dec 11, 2016 7:32 AM

JessieNova, same here!
If I have a really bad fatigue day I end up either sitting or lie down on the couch completely still. Only move my fingers pΓ₯ switch movie on Netflix..

Dec 11, 2016 9:29 AM

This time of year Scrooged is my all time favorite! :)

Dec 11, 2016 9:35 AM

Oh and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Because as I was growing up it was on TV every Christmas. I have memories of all us cousins sitting around my Mammaws TV to watch it. :)

I love the old musicals. When my fiance became bedridden we would find out which weekend the Turner Broadcast would have a musical weekend. From South Pacific to Fidler on the Roof. Oklahoma to Wizard of Oz. Etc. There isn't one we didn't love. :)
Keith passed away from complications due to lung cancer. But those are some precious memories bundled up in those movies.

Dec 11, 2016 12:31 PM

Mimikay I love chitty chitty bang bang and a lot of the old musicals.
I introduced my kids to Mary Poppins and I'm very sorry to say even they said about Dick Van Dykes very bad English accent but they still loved the film! πŸ˜‚
I do love the film Saving Mr Banks, it was very sad to see how the Mary Poppins story came to life

Dec 11, 2016 12:35 PM

Oh no, really Animallover2?
Why do they have to mess with films when they're already great?
I have to say it's very rare that I'd rate a remake over the original.
I'll guess we'll have to wait and see what it turns out like πŸ˜•

Dec 11, 2016 12:44 PM

Some of my favourite family movies are the Santa Clause 1,2&3, the Polar Express and a Muppet Christmas Carol....it's a shame that in the DVD'S of the Muppet Christmas Carol they've cut some bits out like a song that scrooge 's girlfriend sings when they go back to his past. Me and my sister actually wore out a vhs from watching it soo much!!!! Lol

Oh it doesn't need to be Christmas for me to watch a Christmas movie altho my kids do normally moan at me when I put them on in the summer months!!!!
