We all talk about or aches and pains, or medical issues and fighting with the medical system, but i wanted to start a chat about what makes us happy. What makes you smile and feel good, what is your escape? We're all adults here so be honest and share your pleasures. Time for a positive distraction
My pets to me. I have a cat Pumpkin and dog Molly. I have always had a cat since I was 10 yr old. Molly is my first dog. I would have more of each but I'm only allowed to have 2 pets at my apartment. That's how most apartments are here. I love pumpkin and Molly. Their antics make me laugh.
What makes me happy, makes me smile & makes me laugh... Cuddling or playing with my dog or my daughter's dog Reading an interesting book (especially humor...I.e. the pic is from one book in the "Outlander" series) Being outside... with the sun warming my body, hearing the birds sing, smelling rain or flowers, ocean breezes, feeling sand between my toes, hearing mountain streams Watching a good movie Spending time with family & friends Getting a good night's sleep, restful 🙂💕🙏🌸
Here's a little selection of what makes me happy ....I love colouring and I go into my own little world sometimes day dreaming about the picture and what colours I want to colour but most times my mind goes clear and I just pick up the colours that seem right. ....I've bought beads and knotting thread to make bracelets and necklaces Because it feels good to finish and wear my own jewellery and I it makes me smile to see my parents with all their grandkids.
My husband. He and I are both FtM transgender and got married last Halloween for my birthday doing a Wiccan handfasting ceremony. But we're saving up still to afford a more conventional marriage license. He and I both have a lot of problems and pain, both mentally and physically and emotionally, but he makes me smile past the pain and want to keep living. He's the only good thing in my darkness-filled world and he illuminates it as my light. I honestly don't know what I'd ever do without him.
