What was I thinking! 😲

I agreed to puppy sit today, so my dog and my daughter's Newfoundland mix could have a play date. She dropped him off at 7am. The pup has already tripled in size since we kept him the first week of January, where he's bigger than my dog. Here's come from behind me twice and nearly knocked me down, running between my legs once, and biting at my cane. I've had to pop them both with a paper (daughter's training method for unacceptable behavior), for getting too rough with each other & hurting each other. And I had to crate my dog for peeing my carpet. 😑 He's never done that! It's raining or I'd put their butts outside for sure! I've had to change shirts for breaking out in a pouring sweat, my hair was dripping sweat. 😰 And I'm already exhausted! They do not look like they're going to this out anytime soon. Ugh!! On top of it my washing machine has leaked a puddle of water all underneath it. Feels like I ran a marathon. 😧 They're actually playing nice note, but I wish they'd lay down and nap, so I could. Lol! πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

Oh Flappsy... That wonderful, kind heart of yours to take the pup for the day. Newfies grow really fast and unless they're trained and disciplined properly, they can be dangerous because they don't realize how big they are. I can't believe on top of all that, your dog wet the floor and so did your washing machine!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that they lay down soon and relax so you can do the same.. {{{Hugs}}} πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»πŸ˜Š

Awww Flappy. What a lot of work! Sounds like you and your dog were both stressed, that's one of the common reasons to pee, if it's not normal. We had 12 dogs in my class dragon days, and one peed inside when fiat meeting some of the other dogs. Now he's fine

I have a friend with a little dog that would get so excited when I went to visit (only me) that I couldn't speak to her or she'd pee on the floor!! 😳

Sorry about the wash machine. We're having a big water heater leak in my house (people sleep in the garage, do that countS?) and it's perry allotting. At one point we used a Streetsboro and one of those things used to take blood pressure at doc appointments to try to fix it. Kinda worked. Best of luck, and hope you feel better soon!

Thankfully they both passed out about an hour ago! My poor dog has slobber all over him and is going to need a bath. They wrestled with each other and toys right after I posted, until they ate lunch. I think my daughter is going to have her hands full with her dog. He's so clumsy it's funny! He will definitely need training. He finally stopped running around me or through my legs. But I had to walk with my feet closer together and that makes me more off balance.

As for my dog peeing, they had been running through all the rooms, chasing each other. He squatted and peed like it hit him and he just had to go. He knew he was in trouble because I told him to get in his crate, and he ran and got into the pups create! Lol Our washer has been backdating for months. I think we have a blocked sewer line to the street, but my hubby refuses to believe me. Most of the neighbors have already had their lines replaced.

So my daughter came to pick up her pup and stayed to visit awhile. While she was here she noticed our dogs were both being more aggressive and not as playful. My dog snatched something from her pup. Her pup squatted and peed the mats on the floor! Omg. We ran both dogs outside while we cleaned up the Newfie pups lake...stunk! We let the dogs back in and while I was doing something else my dog peed he floor...laminate, and it warped up because we didn't see it until I saw were tracks down the hall!!! We both agreed it's probably their last play date, because the Newfie will definitely be able to hurt my dog in another few weeks or so. Gosh I'm tired. πŸ• Dog tired! Lol πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

Goodness me! Would you consider getting another small sized dog, but from pup, so your dog knows he's boss and isn't intimidated?

Flappsy has enough with one dog, I don't think she's looking to have to take care of another puppy. (Sorry, didn't mean to speak for you, Flappsy😍).

AlwayZ, you know me so well! My baby is back to his normal self today. πŸ˜‰

Feduplass09, I truly think more than one dog is too much for me. My dog weighs 16 lbs and its all I can do to take him to the groomers, vet, or boarders. My physical limits are bad due to weakness. I can't see myself with another dog. I told my hubby we will just have to board him on & off to keep him sociable. When we adopted in and I took him to the vet the first time, he went ballistic at two bigger dogs that walked by. It's all I can do to control this little TANK! Lol He pulls the leash like an ox. Thank you for the suggestion though. Maybe we should have adopted 2 tiny dogs. πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•
