When I wake up the real night mare begins #sideffects

Is there any other drug that treats neuropathy besides gabapentin, cymbalta or Lyrica? I'm having a hard time with these side effects I feel like I'm cursed either way. I've been on gabapentin years ago but I was also on Percocet so I dont remember why I didn't like it except it made me unbelievably drowsy and gained weight.
Now I'm back on it at 600 and my "dr" wants me up to 3,000 0r whatever the highest dose is. I've been on cymbalta for about 2 months and SLOWLY increased up to 60 mg- at this point I feel like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. I feel like a walking dead zombie in Lala land and my depression or what I think is depression is just being so TIRED isn't helping this situation.
I tried Lyrica but the minute they told me I was gonna gain weight I said no way. I've been inactive so long that my clothes don't fit and I'm really having an incredibly AWFUL experience. I'm at a point where I'm not sure if it's worth it anymore to take all these meds if my pain is the same and to be honest if I did drugs I'd probably be doing a lot of that instead of absolutely nothing at all....I don't drink. What my family or anyone doesn't seem to understand is that you dont stay in pain management while under contract every fifteen days for two years if you fail a drug test so idk wtf these new drs think they are doing (I had moved and it was worth driving an hour to see the other center but my Dr left so I'm super screwed)
So when a super heavily tattooed young woman comes in your office with every medical record you could ever read alphabetized and ready to give you whatever test you need or pull up all your little print outs of my prescription history -than tell me what the FUCK does it take? Do I have to be dying for anyone to give a shit?
Venting and I'm upset and I'm extremely frustrated and I'll keep posting the same thing until someone can help me. I had no life before but now-oh man-I can't even function now. 😢😔🙏☠️💊

ElleDollface, I'm sorry you're hurting so badly. I was taking cymbalta for 6 months without any problems. But then i started suffering more than usual pain that I couldn't get under control. I also started having worsening depression, to the point of suicidal ideas. I was at my breaking point when my rheumy doc said it was the cymbalta side effects/adverse reactions causing it and she took me off. The withdrawal was nearly as bad but my PCP put me on an antidepressant i had taken before and I got through it. Please check into whether the cymbalta or another med could be the cause. Many people have had similar or worse reactions to cymbalta. Hugs love and prayers you can get help from a doctor to reduce your pain and help you cope easier! 🙂💕🙏🌸
