When the sun goes down

Anybody else notice the fibromyalgia starts to worsen at sunset?

Sweetie, could it be your drugs you took in the morning wearing off? Seems like my situation. Even slow release drugs starts wearing off 4-6 hrs for me

I don't think so. I don't take pain meds during the day....

My last bad flare I noticed that it did get worse after sunset. And that lasted for a good week. I thought it was just my body. Every time I get sick, I get worse after sunset. I'm not on any medications for my fibro either, nor do I take regular pain medication, so it's not that. :)

I've noticed i get worse in the evening. I don't know if it is because it's the end of the day or because that's usually when the weather changes or if it's because it's time to start thinking about getting ready for bed. I can't say anything to the sunset thing because the sun sets at 4pm here in the winter and 11pm in the summer.

I feel worse the later each day goes. I have attributed it to the longer I'm up and active the more it affects my pain. The less active days= less pain. 🙏🌼

Interesting you guys...some things to definitely think about

Maybe after a long day our body loses its posture causing more strain on the back hence cramping up muscles and causing aches and pain. Not sure about you, but I do tend to slouch more without knowing later in the day.

Our bodies are not built for going through a day without pain, so we tend to be more tired and hence our body becomes lazy to keep their posture. Just my 2 cents 😁

I'm worse when I first wake up better by mid morning through early afternoon then worse in the evening through the night. I attribute it to the day's activity catching up to me.

My fibro causes me to be stiff in the mornings. The OA hurts all through the day. Just plain use during the day, sometimes overdoing it, I'm hurting at night. I've had a bad lumbar area that wraps around the hip to my right pelvis, and it feels out of place & pinching. I have no idea what I've done but I wish it would quit. 🙏🌼

Mine us for sure worse in the evening. I thought it was because the work day and I'm in computer for work. Mine also very bad l the worst Friday evenings through entire weekends. I know it sounds crazy. Not sure if because how I'm position on computer or being detracted with work or a combo of things. Nice to see I'm not the only luck. Still trying to get diagnosed. For sure at beyond frustrated level and intense level of pain and being blown off by pcp and treated like a drug seeker when I'm only given tramadol which is useless. Sorry for the vent. Good luck to everyone
