Mich - I spent over 20 years living in Hawley MN area. Its on Highway 10 between Fargo ND and Detroit Lakes MN. I loved going to WeFest there. Hope to do that again some day. :) Are you a diehard Vikings fan? My son used to put a rope down to divide the room when Vikings and Packers played. Lol. I was a Packers fan (mostly to tease him....)
@Sjogrenspain77 lmao yea idk I love it here despite the storms.. I get worried once in a while but over all can't beat it especially now it's 80 but so nice doors n windows can be open u don't die going outside lol... I just find it beautiful here <3
I get to visit my birth state once a year in July mostly to visit family and friends, last year we had a great family photo shoot that we almost had to do in a hospital because the day I got their my dad ended up in it for 3 day's, but nothing keeps him down lol!
So sorry Lawman. 😞 chronic pain has gotten pretty far(people being educated)but there are unbelievers still out there. I'm so thankful that here in America we have long term disability insurance it's paid the bills for 3 years now!
Quite the groovy global gang here! I live where I do for love of diverse cultures found in San Fracisco Bay Area - East Bay/Berkeley. Loads of heterogeneous integration here. Been here 25yrs, but lived and traveled all over US. 1to10yrs in each of these states MO, IL, IN, CO, MI, AR, OK, TX, CA.
Well, currently I'm in South Carolina, USA. My husband is retired Military so we've moved a lot. We've only lived here since March of this year. Originally I'm from Gulf Shores, AL USA. It's on the AL/FL line.
New Jersey, my knees, back and legs hurt like heck today. I really need some relief for my knees without getting a knee replacement. The weather doesn't seem to help the situation. Being in pain of a ten everyday is misery
Maplewood - I need replacements as well but for ten years now I have gotten by with the Synvisc injections and steroid injections. Also having orthoscopic surgery next month on the right knee to clean out the arthritis and such.
Oleonetta666 I'm originally a South London gal....Stockwell and Brixton areas but also spent some time in the Fulham, Hammersmith and West Kensington areas and then Croydon and Thornton Heath ares....living in Kent now tho
Wow! Diverse group! But I'm impressed at how many are actually from right around my area. I'm new on this board, been in chronic pain since 1996 from Gresham, Oregon, USA ( right outside Portland to the East)
Hi all. My husband is 38 and I am 37. We are originally from NY; Yonkers for him; Levittown for me. We met in Sunrise, FL! We now live in McDonough, GA and have our 2 cats. I do enjoy writing letters and receiving them. It's better to get letters than bills ANY DAY!!!!!! I'd love to send letters to some new friends!!!!! Please message me your address!!!
Hi TJMARIE5215, welcome to the community. We are like one big family. We are from all over the world. If you look up the topics for pen pals, Mimikay collected names and addresses for pen pals. If you contact her I'm sure she can set you up.
It always amazes me how far and wide this app is being used. :) welcome to all the new members. I have been away recovering from surgery. I know I posted my stats somewhere in the list. I am Melanie from Arkansas USA.
Tricia.. I am an Army Brat so I have moved around too. Germany was always the place dad wanted to go. Instead we went to Seoul Korea back in '69 and were in Okinawa back in '62. Dad also went to Saudi Arabia but mom and us kids stayed in Texas. I was born in Arkansas... But Texas owns a piece of my heart as does Minnesota. :)
Frustrated.. I drove through South Dakota yesterday. If you saw a crazy woman driving down I-29.. in a little blue car with Fargo, here I come written on the Windows and cursing at all the road construction (I forgot you only have two seasons up here - winter and road construction) that was me. Lol
Seshi.. isn't Mott where a lot of hunters go during deer season? It seems that my dad and his friends used to rent a cabin there for hunting. I lived in Hawley MN. for over 20 years and in Fargo ND a few years. In fact I arrived in Fargo yesterday to spend 8 days with my daughter and her fiance.
If anyone is interested, I admin a support group on Facebook, and it is for anyone who lives with chronic illness or chronic pain of any kind. The group is called "Coping with Chronic Illness/Pain", and you're all welcome to join us there at:
Faith - I lived in Atwater for 7 years back when Castle Air Force base was there. Miss the ocean. The kids and I escaped to the ocean often as i was in a bad marriage. Something about it calmed my soul. As well as my Fibro. We always had to stop at the Casa de Fruita. (?) I think thats the right name. I miss the fresh fruit we always could find there. Oh and my daugher was born at Mercy Hospital in Merced. :)
@Mimikay I went to college in Sioux Falls so I know EXACTLY what you mean by the two seasons crack!!! It is maddening!! But I love my Alma mater of Augustana College (now university) I didn't get to graduate because of my RSD but I will always have a special place in my heart for that school and one day hopefully I will have the funds to complete my degree. But I must be crazy to do so and move back to the crazy cold from SOUTH TEXAS!!! Right??
