I hear you New. I guess that's one of the reasons my Oxymorphone expired with me only taking 6 of them. They did nothing for the pain, but made me so sick I was stuck in bed after taking one just to keep from vomiting. :( I wish I could find something that actually helped. I can't take any anti-inflammatory medications thanks to stage 3b kidney failure. Acetaminophen does as much as the Oxymorphone did, nothing. Tramodol didn't do anything, Tylenol 3s didn't help either. If fact when they gave me T3 after having six teeth pulled the same day (two had to be dug out) I went without them after the first dose did nothing.
I know what you mean! I think I get to the point where I'm so desperate I just want to try something, anything, to try and get some relief. But more often than not it does nothing or the side effects are too annoying. So frustrating!!
I've learned over the past 30 some years, their is NO quick fix! Unfortunately! I've had numerous surgeries and medications in search of relief and none found. I've come to the conclusion that there is NO pain reliever that will take it ALL away. The best I can do is get enough relief to take the edge off my pain then use other alternatives to help me cope with the remainder of my pain. So sorry to hear of all your struggles. It is an ongoing effort and unfortunately our cross to carry. With this new opioid scare I believe our plight will only worsen. Less choices and possibly less availability. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!😘
Thanks for the information Painwarrior, I've developed a lot of different pains over the past year that I shouldn't have at my young age, it's nice to know there's someone with advice for others like me, and worse!
