Why Ive been absent..

Mar 05, 2017 10:12 PM

Hey everyone,
Lots of love and hugs to everyone, sorry I have been absent..
Lots of things been going on.

We found out we were pregnant in december last year with our second baby and nearly 3 months later we lost the baby. Its been nearly 3 weeks since that happened. I had to have surgery and my heart rate dropped to 20.
They also gave me tablets to kick everything off however they didnt tell me that the tablets were an inflamitory so they irritated my bowel and I have fibromyalgia.
The hospital seemed really caring and interested in my fibromyalgia and asked me a ton of questions. Its great news that this is getting more awarness. I was not made to feel like it was an invisible illness.
I am still waiting on test results from our child as to why this happened.
During the pregnancy i found i had a short break from my symptoms however when i lost the baby the symptoms have returned with a vengance including some really scary ones.
Ive had pins and needles in my face, and face pain, a stage where ive had electric shocks running down my spine and a stiff neck for a week and terrible head pain.
Ive had swollen ankles so bad my work mate noticed and rubbed my ankles for me.
My IBS has been horrid too.
My doctor is sending me for an MRI in two weeks to get everything checked out. Im hoping its not Multiple sclerosis but at least ill have some answers.
I have a nerve study to do as well as the nerve pain has been something else (burning, stabbing and pins and needles every day).
I have also been waking up sweating.
I had a bad flare before the pregnancy that has left me with essential tremors in both hands as diagnosed by my doctor. Some days they are noticable other days they are ok.
I now have an iron deficiency too which amplifies brain fog vertigo and generally feeling like crap.
Anxiety is up because of the miscarriage and i am even considering anxiety meds because of the night mares that remain constant.

Hope that everyone else is doing ok and keep fighting to raise awarness because FIBROMYALGIA SUCKS! :(

Am so sorry for your loss hun. (((( gentle hugs )))) and with it the increase of symptoms. I have heard that while pregnant the fibro symptoms lesson. I have also lost 2 children during pregnancy and know the symptoms can often intensify three fold. For me it was not just the normal symptoms but also the emotional side of it can cause the symptoms to change. The "hot flashes" could be a result of your hormones going through drastic changes in such a short time?

I get the same nerve type issues.. Such as spider web feelings, or "electric shock" feelings shooting through me etc. Recently my rheumatologist suggested I try Alpha Lipoic Acid. She said it might take awhile to notice a change. I ordered some from Amazon and at 600mg I take it 2 times a day. Its been three weeks and so far my symptoms have lessened a lot. Still get them occasionally but not like I was.

Take good care of yourself. Know we care.

Laalaa, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I once had a miscarriage so I understand the pain. It is good that they're interested in your fibro, and hopefully they can get your pain reduced. I too have fibro with essential tremors in both hands, and occasionally my feet have had them lately. Sending you very gentle hugs and prayers with love! 🙂💕🙏🌸

Laalaa, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your child. I can't even imagine what that is like.
I know what you mean about new and scary symptoms.. I have several and have been MIA for a while myself (Shame on me not being here for my peeps) but the overwhelming issues have just kept me from being able to keep up.
Sending you positive vibes, gentle, healing {{{Hugs}}} and well
Wishes for getting the answers that you need.💕
