Widespread pain and severe fatigue

Feb 18, 2017 10:57 PM

I am struggling with a lot of different symptoms. I have no diagnosed illness except fibromyalgia which I have had for 27 years. I cannot remember what it is like to be normal without pain. My body does not want to do what I want it to do. I have developed balance problems within the last few years and very weak muscles in my legs. I do walk and have been active but it doesn't help to strengthen my legs. They just get weaker if I increase my activity level because I become more fatigued. I am losing control of my arms because I keep hitting them on the wall or when I reach for something I bash my hand or walk into the wall. This has been happening now for a year so I am thinking fibromyalgia must be a neurological problem which they are now finding out. I keep tottering and try to stop from falling over. I am 57 years old and feel like I am 87 or 97 years old. I am wondering where this will all end up. Is it fatal? I am starting to think it will eventually take my life as I am very weak. I keep getting urinary tract infections which I seem to cure with cranberry juice. The tests in the doctor's office are always negative but I have experienced all the symptoms of them with radiating flank and back pain.

Nisey you sound just like me. I have balance problems plus vertigo. My legs are weak. My arms I'm always hitting them on things. I haven't had fibro that long. Dx in 2008. I take Lyrica which helps a lot.
