I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and depression with anxiety December 2011. I am still trying to find a way to relieve symptoms using traditional western medicine and C.A.M. while working full time. I work in a high stress environment which, as we all know is a huge trigger for flare ups. I am worried about several things; how work is effecting my health, I am not anywhere near retirement, and I am not sure how to proceed if I lose this job.
I understand you totally. I am in the same predicament. Im only 45, but as my pain and discomfort continues am having to have more and more time off. Although my boss understands im sure they are starting to get annoyed about the amount of time im having off?.
I will try this again ,get the help you need see a pain specialist . Get the documentation. My pain at present is almost unbearable but I fight I have been off work now for 5 weeks it bothers me,I enjoy being an ICU nurse. I work with a great team. I am off to see the pain specialist again tomorrow. I have 3 back surgeries but now my SI joints are causing all the pain and limited activity. Hang in there.
