I took 500mg naproxen for a couple years. Then I got bad headaches. Neurologist sad to stop taking it. It took months for headaches to stop.

My mum also has Fibromyalgia and she has tried Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline, Duloxetine, Gabapentin, Pregabalin, and Naproxen. All of these medications provided some relief, but most of them eventually stopped working.

Currently, she's taking Nortriptyline (Aventyl) 10 mg and Naproxen 2,000 mg per day. She's getting better relief from the combination of these medications than she has from any of the drugs taken separately.

Hey Mudduck.... Naproxen helped me a lot for about a year or two. But like everything else your body can get use to it. Also long term use is hard on you stomach and liver. Just keep it in mind and enjoy your time without pain.
