Wrist pain

Jul 14, 2016 8:54 AM

Literally had dull aching pains in my wrists all dayyyy arghhhh :(

Jul 14, 2016 9:24 AM

Lils, I know how that feels. I had ganglion cysts very deep in both wrists that had to be removed surgically. They also have had to do Orthopaedic surgery on them for torn ligaments and other bone issues. I have DDD among other things and my wrists hurt every day. Have you seen the doctor to find out the cause? Do you type a lot? This can cause carpal tunnel which is very painful among other things it causes. I hope you can get help for the pain. I feel you. Hang in there. {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻😊

It is, I have a list as long as my arm of confirmed autoimmune issues that cause pain. I'm on some heavy duty meds because of it and have had 30 surgeries in the last 23 years. I have more on the horizon by trying to put them off as long as I can.

Lils, CTS can be very painful in the wrists and hands as well. It wouldn't show up in bloodwork or x-rays. It can show up on an EMG nerve conduction study. Have they tested you for it? 🙂💕🙏🌸

Jul 14, 2016 12:27 PM

No they haven't tested me for that as I have pain in my feet shoulders and hips also so they believe it's not that . I just want answers but by reading all your guys comments and stories I think getting a diagnosis could be a long way off . Really appreciating all your advice though :)

My wrists too amongst all my joints with lupus. Aside from a positive ANA blood test all other bloodwork was normal. The blood tests are not definitive. They're just a small part of the puzzle. Don't give up if you don't get answers. It took me 2.5 years seeing many specialists who wrongly told me nothing was wrong when I knew something was very wrong. Document everything.

When my fingers turned blue in front of my GP he finally believed something more was going on. It was Raynaud's. He finally agreed to send me too an Internist who who could see just by looking in my mouth how I'll I was.

Hugs! Can relate to that. The dull aching is horrible. Does it affect your hands too?

Jul 14, 2016 5:29 PM

Hugs back. My fingers are the worst, my toes have started and I have a hard time keeping my hands warm. I always wear gloves with the half fingers

Jul 14, 2016 5:34 PM

My parner suggested fingerless gloves just yesterday. He bought me thermal socks which help. My feet still hurt but the thermal socks help!

Jul 14, 2016 5:38 PM

Oh cool thermal socks! The mitts help with keeping my hands warmer but fingers tend to go white an numb despite them. I swear Raynaud's has a mind of its own as well. Lol
